Kurt Scott Hopke

Mr Kurt hopke was a great defensive lawyer he was very excellent and understanding and also explaining the law to me helping me out in many ways throughout this whole covid situation throughout this years ...always on time and beyond great communication no matter which day it was ....above all what a... great personality very good family man very understanding individual I will always highly recommend this attorney to anybody who needs legal advice or standing...God bless you Mr Hopke and thanks for being there on my side ... I was lucky and blessed to receive mr. Hopke as my court appointed attorney and I couldn't be any happier. Being i was not from the area and from another city not only did he show interest in my case for the area which is right outside of Houston in Katy but also showed interest and asking how I was... doing when it came to other cases I was facing in my own City of San Antonio telling me what ways and tactics I should look into when it came to being represented in my cases so that I can get them either dismissed or to somehow get a happy result. He always seemed to have my best interest at hand. He always answered my calls returned my messages and never had me questioning if he had my back. I am someone who has had a lot of problems with the law and have had my share of lawyers and from my experience most lawyers should be called Liars but in this case was totally different and would highly recommend anybody who is looking for a great lawyer who will have your back to the fullest to get a hold of Kurt Hopke. The end result of my case was dismissed and again I couldn't be more thankful .

Such a great attorney. He helped me with. DWI case I was having serious hard time in fighting on my own. I was being charged without having ever received tickets or a court date of any kind. Kurt went in and won this case for me. He was able to find so many discrepancies in my case that I, for obvio...us reason, would not have been able to find on my own. He found that these tickets I supposedly received in January 2013 weren't even filed until may 2013. That's just one of the many mistakes that were made. All in all I'm very happy and recommend him to anyone that might, for unfortunate reasons, need a great criminal defense attorney.

Mr. Hopke represented me on a felony case, and proved to be excellent at what he does. He saw me the day after I contacted him, and anticipated the likely verdict. He had a plan, instructed me on what I needed to do, and knew the right people that could help. He sent me for a psyche evaluation, which... revealed that I'm autistic. (I had no idea, having lived all my life undiagnosed!) Mr. Hopke also knew someone that specialized in that field - the best in Texas - and sent me to that person to be evaluated. With that completed, it was a matter of waiting for the DA to be ready to hear the case. Throughout the time that my case was pending, Mr. Hopke made clear that he was more than just a legal counselor, that he was always available to answer any questions I had. He knew all the possible outcomes and had a plan ready for each of them. I always felt better after I left the courtroom. I eventually got deferred adjudication, just as he said. I don't know if I would ever find out that I'm autistic had I gone with another attorney, if any of them would be willing to go the distance or the financial costs of these psychological evaluations. But Mr. Hopke did, I now know what I have, and am able to look for the right course of actions. I cannot thank him enough.

I will be forever indebted to Kurt for what he has done for me. I was initial charges were PCS 1-4g, theft of a motor vehicle, and a 2nd degree felony fraud charge. I bonded out and then caught a 1st degree felony PCS charge along with a 1st degree fraud case. It's truly a miracle I'm able to write t...his review considering the severity of my charges. But once you have Kurt by your side, you start calling miracles "the Kurt Hopke special" in this case, that was an 8 years deferred sentence on the 2 fraud charges only. The 3 other charges were dismissed. The best thing about having Kurt as your lawyer is knowing that you have someone that will do what's in your best interest. I can't tell you how important that is when you find yourself in jail and no way to help yourself. Oh, and if you are incarcerated while fighting your cases, Kurt visits his clients more so than some family members do. Be prepared to have many jealous cell mates. What makes Kurt so good at his job is the fact that he loves his job. This dude is a geek when it comes to the law. He gets so into it that mere mortals like me can't understand a word he is saying when he discovers something that could help you. I trust Kurt more so than anyone that I know, including family. To have that big of an impact on people's lives by just doing your job shows how good he is and why you should stop searching for an attorney and hire Kurt.
