Groce Family Law allowed my entire process to go as smoothly as possible. After the initial consultation, I hired Ms. Groce to represent me. I found her to be honest, professional, affordable, and available whenever needed. This is not one of those law firms where they lure you in and then you hav...e various other people deal with your case. No, instead, she does it all! Well-informed, easy to talk to, and rest assured she’s genuinely interested in helping people through tough times. I was happy to have her on my side and without hesitation would highly recommend Groce Family Law to anyone in need of this type of service.

I just want to start by saying that I was super fortunate to have a pretty easy divorce. My ex husband and I had planned on not retaining an attorney due to our mutual agreement in splitting everything evenly, but he decided to retain an attorney for his interest. I went with Erin for my interest! Sh...e was absolutely amazing and made sure that I understood his attorney’s lingo and that I was not bullied into signing anything I didn’t want to sign. I would recommend Erin for any type of divorce you are going through. Divorce is so hard in the first place, make sure you have someone on your side that is willing to go the distance for you. Erin is the person I would choose to be on my team every single time! She is a Godsend and definitely worth it.

Erin helped me with child visitation order and child support. She was very understanding as this was my first time having to deal with a lawyer concerning my child. She anwsered every question I had and even broke it down when I needed more clarification. Whenever I called/ emailed, she was sure to g...et back to me within a 24hr period. She got me everything I wanted in the order.

I met Erin on an elevator ride when I was going to visit a client in her office building. Little did I know, this chance encounter would be one of the most pivotal moments in my life. I had been divorced for about 8 years and did not have custody of my sons. I visited with Erin about my situation ...and something about her warm personality and reassuring smile set her apart from any other attorney I had ever met. When the time was right, I came into her office with a list of questions. The most important one was, "Have you ever taken a child from their mother?" I know that Texas courts tend to side with the mom, no matter the circumstances, and it would take a skilled lawyer to overcome this challenge. She assured me that she had helped many fathers win custody of their children and felt that I had a good chance with my case. Before court, we prepared for the event. When we got to court, the judge immediately tried to shut us down and send us to arbitration. Erin was able to interject a statement which caught the judge's attention and open the idea to hearing us out. That day, I was granted temporary orders to have custody of my sons. About a year later, we were able to finalize the temporary orders and I now have sole custody of the boys. Other lawyers would try to convince me to try for extended visitations, not full custody. Erin was able to overcome the norm and get my boys home to me. There are many fathers out there who don't know that this is possible. Although no lawyer can guarantee the outcome, with Erin the likelihood of winning your case is exponentially greater. Her wisdom, assertiveness, and determination is what makes her different.

After two bad experiences with other lawyers I found Ms. Groce through Avvo. I read her reviews and decided to have a consultation. I was pleased with her professionalism and honesty. My case (enforcement of divorce decree - child's passport provision) was very easy but I needed someone who would hav...e the time and experience to take it. I hired Ms. Groce in May hoping my case would get a hearing before my traveling dates (late June). Unfortunately, and mainly because of the court having too many cases, we could not get a hearing on time and I could not travel BUT Ms. Groce did try, she asked me to write an affidavit that she corrected and filed to try to get an emergency hearing (but the judge did not grant it). During my case I was mainly in communication with her paralegal, Allison Fisher, who did a good job on keeping me informed about my case, and the only other time I saw Ms. Groce was in court the day of our hearing. She talked to the other party's lawyer and after a couple of back and forward, we settled it with an agreement. We did not need to have the hearing and all in all I think it was best to get to that agreement instead of fighting. The judge appreciate us (me and the other party) working things out and I felt Ms. Groce was very prepared for the hearing in case we had to. I did not give 5 stars to responsive because there is no 4 1/2 stars (they were a couple of occasions where I felt things could have been responded more promptly). The paperwork afterwards was taken care of and her fees are very reasonable. Therefore, I RECOMMEND MS. GROCE and congratulate her and Allison for changing the "ugly" face that so far lawyers had in my mind/experience. I hope I will never have to need her services again, but if I do I absolutely will hire her.
