Biography
Jonathan Lee Stovall is a Beaumont, Texas attorney who is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Since graduating from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2008, he has focused his practice on helping individuals and families navigate divorce, child custody, child support, property division, modification, enforcement, adoption, prenuptial agreements, mediation, and other Texas family-law matters.
Jonathan joined Galmor Stovall in 2008 and has spent his career representing clients throughout Beaumont, Jefferson County, and Southeast Texas. His approach to family law combines practical advice, careful preparation, and strong advocacy, with an emphasis on helping clients understand both the legal issues and the long-term consequences of the decisions they make during a case.
In 2017, Jonathan became Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Board Certification reflects substantial experience, demonstrated competence, ongoing legal education, and successful completion of a rigorous examination process in the specialty area.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts from Lamar University in 2004 and his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, he was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in recognition of excellence in advocacy.
He has also been active in the local legal community through organizations including the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association, and has presented at continuing legal education programs on family-law and ethics topics.
In addition to litigation, Jonathan serves as a family-law mediator and works with parties and counsel to resolve difficult custody, property, support, and post-divorce disputes outside the courtroom when appropriate.
