Michael Jacobellis

Michael Jacobellis is a seasoned personal injury attorney with a distinguished career spanning decades, marked by exceptional trial experience and landmark case victories. Board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law, he has served as lead counsel in over 200 jury trials and secured multiple verdicts and settlements exceeding $1 million.

A graduate of Cornell University and St. John’s University School of Law in New York, Michael began his legal career clerking for the esteemed federal judge, Joe Fisher. He later became a law partner to the legendary trial lawyer, Joe Tonahill, famously known for representing Jack Ruby. His depth of experience in both state and federal courts has led to significant wins, including in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Michael is an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is admitted to practice in Texas, New York, and multiple federal jurisdictions, including all four federal districts of Texas and the Fifth Circuit. In addition to his courtroom achievements, Michael has contributed to legal scholarship as the editor of the St. John’s University Law Review and author of a Worker’s Compensation Handbook.

Originally from Huntington, Long Island, Michael later established his practice in Beaumont, Texas. He is married to Amy Jacobellis and is a proud father of six children.
