writing wills

We had hired William Brown to write our wills but I had to cancel the contract because he refused to write our wills according to the Texas Estate Code requirements: designating executors and Self-Proving Affidavit. I sent e-mails and Fax to request the correction before the draft wills were prepar...ed by William Brown. I have tried several times to have him correct the problem but he had refused and I had to terminate the contract. When I asked him to pay back the 50% ($400.00) of the fee we paid at the time of the contract, he had refused. Hence, I contacted the Houston Bar Association and I notified him about the complaint against him. He mailed me the check the day I notified him that I had contacted the Houston Bar Association. I have all the copies of communications with him and the draft wills he had prepared that we did not signed for in case we may need them in future. I know that he may have done a good job for some people. However, I would not recommend William Brown to anyone based my experience of frustration.

Real Estate Litigation

I have been a client of Mr. Brown for five years now and he has represented me in disputes with tenants, drafted new leases, and consulted in real estate sales transactions in Texas, Georgia, & California. I had Mr Brown probate estates of family members and he drafted my Will & Powers of Attorney (g...eneral & medical). At a time in need, he came to my hospital to deliver a Directive to Physicians (do not resuscitate) which found very comforting. Mr. Brown is a considerate and thoughtful man that goes above and beyond what I ever expected an attorney to do.

Excellent Communicator

Mr. Brown, took a top down approach. Reviewed choices and how those choices would affect my outcomes. At the same time explained in great details each option at my disposal. Great way to communicate in a simplified form.

Thanks, I endeavor to present the options and then recommend the best solution. That is where good communication skills are essential to success. The better I understand your needs the better job I can do for you. It's very gratifying.

Excellent and Knowledgeable

Mr. William Brown was referred to me by a coworker to handle a family wills and probate issue for me. Nothing is more stressful than dealing with things after the loss of a loved one. Mr. Brown brought a calmness and reassuring demeanor that helped our family tremendously. His determination and exper...tise were above reproach. The way he handles himself and his clients is better than most attorney's. He is always calm, cool and collective, which provided a very high level of confidence for me and my family. I believe Mr. Brown played a big part in our family coming together during a time of grief and stress that could have caused an unnecessary divide. My family and I will forever grateful.
