Ms. Richmond primarily practices in the counties of Brazoria, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, and other surrounding counties.
Ms. Richmond was born and raised in Brazoria County. Ms. Richmond received her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies and her Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Ms. Richmond attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she focused on courses that would directly benefit clients in family law cases, including: Family Law, Marital Property, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law Trial Advocacy, and Wills, Trusts, & Estates.
Ms. Richmond worked as a family law paralegal for four years prior to attending law school and continued working in that capacity while in law school. Immediately after receiving her law license in 2014, Ms. Richmond began practicing as a family law attorney and has practiced exclusively family law throughout her career.
Ms. Richmond is a divorcee and co-parents her daughter with her ex-spouse and his wife. This experience allows Ms. Richmond to understand and empathize with clients, as well as offer guidance for effective communication and behaviors that encourage a positive co-parenting relationship.
Ms. Richmond understands that the legal system can be frightening and frustrating to clients, and she aims to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for clients. Ms. Richmond focuses on ensuring clients feel "heard" and that they are knowledgeable about the legal process. She provides her clients with the available options in their cases, and assists in guiding them through making decisions that are right for their families.
Ms. Richmond is "down to earth" and easy for clients to communicate with, and finds this to be the best and most effective way of maintaining healthy working relationships with clients. Ms. Richmond is straightforward, does not engage in unnecessary litigation, and works to resolve cases as effectively and cost-efficiently as possible for clients.
During her free time, Lacey enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and their five (yes, five!) dogs. Ms. Richmond's hobbies include outdoor activities, traveling, watching sporting events, and volunteering at non-profit organizations focused on animal welfare. Ms. Richmond also enjoys watching the Houston Astros!
