I had my one and only daughter on May 18,2018. O gave birth to a beautiful,perfect miracle baby. I didn't know I was pregnant, which may sound unbelievable to some but it's actually more common than most think. Due to these circumstances CPS got involved and I was in the fight of my life for my fir...st and only daughter. We were looking for an attorney at the most vulnerable and trying time and came across Julie letterman. Once talking with her she said all the things you wanted to hear and how she is such a "pitbull" and she's going to get my daughter home with me At my first court date hearing ,( which is an incredibly important hearing) Julie barely said hi to me and sent her paralegal over to me to completely discourage me from fighting CPS, she explained nothing to me I was completely confused ,lost ,scared and desperately needed someone their to fight for mine and my daughter"s best interest. Once iin front of the judge I was braided by the prosocuting attorneys, was completely blindsided and all the while Julie letterman stood behind me quiet as a mouse, she did not make one objection or intersed for me on my behalf or voice any of my many serious concerns Before I knew it my time in front of the judge was done and over with and absolutely nothing was said for me in my defense or favor , she said nothing about my daughter. I had a horrible gut intuition about her and should have trusted it but not ever being in this situation you tend to believe all the perfect words they are telling you. After court I was beyond disappointed and defeated. At that time I didn't even realize the ramifications from her actions were tat that first important hearing. As the process continued Julie would cancel/ reschedule important mandatory meetings which was holding my progess back, I spoke to Julie one time on the phone over the 10 month period she was representing me, I would call and call and leave Voice mails and the only form of communication was threw her paralegal who was not the lawyer and wasnt the person being paid to fight for me, she never could answer my questions or give me clarity on anything. Julie never filed any motions or orders on my behalf,Julie would have her paralegal call me the day of one of my mportant adversey hearings while I'm in my car on the way to the courthouse to tell me Julie is out of town and that she wants to reschedule my hearing. Delaying any of my court dates with Cps is acompletely irresponsible and having no regard for me and my best interest. I told her paralegal absolutely not , someone better be there for me so they sent some young intern who was asking other lawyers there about my case and had no knowledge of anything. Another instance Julie failed me was she never spoke with me about the status of anything or what was happening and why I was always walking into court not knowing what to be prepared for. At one of my hearings I actually got up and walked to the very first pew where the attorneys are seated to ask her if she would please meet with me in the hallway to inform of what would be accomplished and handled that day.in addition to all these occurances , CPS was having me called in 3 times a month for hair follicle testing. I was actually doing what they asked because I had no idea I wasn't obligated to take a hair follicle nurmeous times in one month, but once every three or 4 months is the proper procedure. At a family team meeting Julie was supposed to be there representing me as mu lawyer and failed to appear, and sent her parlegal who served me no purpose. It's mandatory to have your lawyer there with you. .Also an incredibly important release had to be signed that Julie refused to sign for months and months delaying the process even furthe.i wish I would have never hired Julie letterman . I'm warning anyone who finds themselves in need of a family law attorney stay far away from Julie, she will waste your time,money and has no intention on getting your child back home

Julie is a tough as nails, no nonsense Astor way who will fight for your rights as a parent and for your child! We got our daughter back in under six months and our case dismissed in under a year-which is almost unheard of with DFPS. Her assistant Cheryl not only has 20+ years working with DFPS, but ...she is also incredibly compassionate and works tirelessly on your behalf. The entire staff at Ketterman Law and Associates are great, but Julie and Cheryl are a winning combination when it comes to fighting for your children. I would hire them a thousand times over. Every penny is worth it because they will not give up until your family is reunited. Don’t give up and don’t go anywhere else!

Julie Ketterman has bad reviews, when asked about them before I hired her she said it was because the client did not do what she said. However, I hired her anyway and everything written in the bad reviews are TRUE. She does not return phone calls, or emails. She did not tell me about court dates beca...use she was busy in trial. People are desperate too find a good CPS lawyer and due to her advertisements we are fooled. She did NOT do one thing for me. I was only trying to get unsupervised visits with my grandchildren. It drug out now 9 months and NOTHING. She should be ashamed of her self. Do not believe the BS she tells you. Please. It is not worth the added heartbreak she will cause you. BEWARE.

How do parents find the words to express their gratitude for rescuing their children? KHA never gave up on us, even though our fight was a challenging one and lasted years. We will forever be indebted to Julie Kitterman for her intellect, dedication and bulldog attitude. She's a fighter who is not e...asily intimidated and will not back down. Her clients come first. She truly cares for the families she represents more than the income she receives. I've never met a lawyer with a heart of gold, but she's the real deal. ❤

We were brought into the CPS spotlight as a result of vindictiveness of our grandson's father and his family. We have never even had custody of our grandson. We get to see him every now and then. But the accusations presented to CPS were of great severity.
