Attorney Chavez has always been devoted to helping the community by engaging in diverse volunteer programs. During her college years at the University of Houston – Downtown, she volunteered with the Bridge, a shelter for battered women and also for Crossroads, an agency whose mission is to prevent or reduce youth involvement with the juvenile justice. During law school, Damaris joined Child Advocates, an agency who uses volunteers as a voice to protect children who are suffering from abuse, and Catholic Charities, a non-profit organization geared toward helping those with immigration issues.
Attorney Chavez understands that any type of legal matter can be daunting for a person who is not familiar with our legal system. Her experience in the areas of criminal, family and immigration law, have allowed her to help many people with complex legal issues. Damaris is sensitive to her client’s needs and desires.
