Ms. Young is an adjunct professor for the University Of Maryland University College where she teaches online graduate classes in Purchasing & Materials Management; and Contracts & Negotiations. She is also an online instructor for DeVry University where she teaches an undergraduate class in Ethical and Legal Issues in Professions. She has served as the Asst. Gen. Counsel of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Department of Family and Protective Services, and the Texas Building and Procurement Commission.
Ms. Young received a BA in Material Logistics Management from Michigan State University in 1996; a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law in 1999; a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University in 2008; and she completed a second Master of Arts degree in Business & Organizational Security Management in May 2010.
She is a Certified Texas Procurement Manager and holds a license to practice law in two states - Texas and Michigan.
