Biography
Mr. Behlmann has been an attorney for over 30 years. The focus of his practice is estate planning, elder law, wealth preservation and family business counseling.
Mr. Behlmann is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a member of the Texas Bar College and is on the Fidelity Investments Attorney Access List.
He is also a member of the National Academy of Elder law Attorneys and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. In these organizations he works with over 100 law firms around the country, allowing him to stay current on state and local laws related to planning for assets and operations outside of Texas.
He is a regular presenter on the issues of elder law, long term care and estate planning issues and has recently published a book, How to Avoid the Five Biggest Mistakes in Estate Planning, available on .
Mr. Behlmann was formerly a practicing CPA and Senior Tax Consultant with one of the big four CPA firms and always looks for additional tax-saving opportunities in developing an estate plan.
Early in his career Mr. Behlmann was a prosecuting attorney for St. Louis County and the City of Florissant, Missouri.

The worst nightmare
This guy is so money hungry that he will do anything for a dollar!! He saw my father 8 times with in a few week period. If a 80 year old man is coming to you with concerns that many times one would think that maybe he is not of sound mind. Not this idiot! Took his money and ran!

effective attorney
Mr. Behlmann was recommended to me by a friend who had used his office for probate and elder law. He is highly knowledgable, asks the right questions and listens to client's concerns. Mr. Behlmann is a creative and passionate attorney and I highly recommend him.

My first choice for legal work

Excellent Attorney
I would most certainly hire Richard Behlmann again. He was very accessible to me, answered all of my questions, didn't avoid my calls as most attorneys do. Mr. Behlmann is very trustworthy, and very knowledgeable in estate planning and tax law. A good choice for us!!

Knowledgeable and Professional
