Former client
My wife and I both hired Bryan for cases with our ex-spouses going on at the same time. Absolutely the worst prepared attorney I’ve ever seen and could not properly ask the most critical question we needed to defend what was in my original decree. It was embarrassing to see how bad he was in court an...
Terry - thank you for your review. Initially, it is important to point out, as you say in your review, that both you and your wife hired me for different cases, and you hired me after your wife. This means that you had full knowledge of my firm and its services in the handling of your wife's case before you elected to hire my firm. If my firm was really as terrible as you indicate in your review, you would not have hired us. The real reason you post your review is that you are not happy with the Judge's ruling at trial. Anytime a party elects not to settle at mediation for the chance of getting a better result at trial, there are always additional costs and risk. You were fully aware of the costs as we had numerous discussions about my firm's efforts in presenting your case at trial. You were also fully aware of the risks as we spent much time before and during mediation analyzing how nothing is guaranteed when you go to court and sometimes you get a worse result than what was offered at mediation. After the trial, we had many discussions about an appeal of the Judge's ruling, which I recommended and you rejected. I am always willing to take difficult cases to trial and do not shy away from custody battles in court. No attorney wins every case he takes to trial and the best thing an attorney can do is ensure his client is fully informed. Ultimately, you made the call to accept both the costs and risks to go to trial. To second-guess a Judge's decision made eight months ago by posting such a review is not reflective of your feedback throughout the case or the efforts of my firm to meet your demands.
