Tej Rashmi-Deep Paranjpe

Tej Paranjpe is a Managing Partner and Shareholder at PMR Law, a Houston-based personal injury law firm representing individuals and families in serious injury and wrongful death cases throughout Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation, including car accidents, commercial truck and 18-wheeler accidents, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death claims, and other cases involving serious harm caused by negligence or wrongdoing.

An experienced trial lawyer, Tej has spent his career representing people in high-stakes litigation and has extensive first-chair jury trial, litigation, and negotiation experience. Early in his legal career, he developed his courtroom skills as a criminal defense trial attorney in Houston. By the end of 2014, Tej had earned entry into the “Century Club” after serving as first-chair counsel in 107 jury trials to verdict.

Tej brought that extensive courtroom experience to plaintiff-side litigation and has since represented individuals and families facing serious injuries, significant financial losses, and life-changing consequences caused by negligent individuals and companies.

Today, Tej helps lead PMR Law's personal injury litigation practice, representing plaintiffs in cases involving car crashes, commercial trucking and 18-wheeler accidents, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, premises liability, defective products, and other serious personal injury matters.

In motor vehicle cases, Tej and the PMR Law team represent people injured in crashes involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, and other large trucks. These cases can involve complex questions of negligence, insurance coverage, corporate responsibility, vehicle operation and maintenance, safety practices, and the preservation of critical evidence. Tej's extensive litigation and trial background allows him to approach these cases with a focus on preparation from the earliest stages of a claim through litigation and trial when necessary.

Tej also represents families pursuing wrongful death claims after losing a loved one because of another party's negligence or wrongful conduct. He understands that serious injury and wrongful death cases involve more than financial damages—they can affect a family's health, stability, livelihood, and future. His approach combines aggressive legal advocacy with personal attention to the people PMR Law represents.

As a Managing Partner, Tej has helped shape the growth and litigation strategy of PMR Law while building a team focused on representing injured people and their families. The firm is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and Tej is licensed to practice law in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico, allowing him to represent eligible personal injury clients across all three states.

Tej grew up in the Greater Houston area and graduated from Jersey Village High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government and Film from The University of Texas at Austin and studied film, cinema, and video at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom before attending law school. He received his law degree from the Widener University School of Law.

Throughout his career, Tej has also been active in the legal community. He served two terms as President of the South Asian Bar Association of Houston and is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He has also spoken before legal organizations on trial strategy, social media, discovery, and the use of technology in litigation.

Outside the practice of law, Tej is a father and lifelong Houstonian who enjoys traveling, scuba diving, cooking, smoking brisket and ribs, running, swimming, film, and spending time with his family and friends.
