Joe Newman Perdue

Mr. Perdue was honored by Houstonia Magazine for a second time when he was included on its 'Top Lawyers' list for 2015.  He had previously been included on the list in 2013.  Mr. Perdue has also been honored by being named to the Texas Super Lawyers-Rising Stars Edition, in 2010, 2011, and 2012.  [Less than 3 percent of lawyers his age are selected for this honor.]   It was a tremendous honor to make this list for three  straight years.  Visit to see more about Mr. Perdue.

Mr. Perdue has been in involved in business and licensing cases ranging from the complexities of a False Claims Act lawsuit (‘qui tam’) that alleged the defendants participated in a scheme to collect federal health insurance funds under Medicare through fraudulent billing practices to a licensing revocation proceeding with the Texas Department of State Health Services related to an alleged incident of misconduct filed by a discontented client.  

As a litigator, Mr. Perdue has seen some of the worse conduct.  Mr. Perdue worked on cases involving patient neglect and even abuse.  Mr. Perdue has represented injured individuals ranging from a woman that suffers from quadraparesis as a result of negligent care during a posterior cervical laminectomy and fusion to an individual that suffered head trauma after being struck by a careless driver while riding her bicycle training for the MS 150.  Mr. Perdue began his legal career defending large corporations (i.e. TXU Energy and Fluor Corporation) in major plant accidents involving catastrophic injuries to workers.  Mr. Perdue brings his years of experience and background in large and complex matters to the table each time he represents his clients.

Joe Perdue earned his Law Degree (‘J.D.’) from South Texas College of Law. While at South Texas College of Law, Mr. Perdue studied International and Environmental Law at the University of Malta. He was licensed to practice in 2002.  As a life-long Texan and resident of Houston, Mr. Perdue knows the value of community.  Mr. Perdue is proud to be a contributor to local charities and volunteered with Child Advocates as a court appointed advocate to help protect children from abuse and neglect.
