When my granddaughter needed a Divorce Lawyer for a divorce from a man she had not been married to long, but otherwise too miserably long, with children involved, to say it was a mess, and that her reasons for wanting and needing the divorce were such that she didn't know where to begin, is an unders...tatement. Wanting me to find a lawyer for her, I had spent days calling and talking to one lawyer after another, and each time, for one reason or another, not feeling comfortable with any of them. I was important to find one that I felt my granddaughter could feel comfortable talking with. And, if I didn't feel comfortable talking to someone, she certainly wouldn't. Day after day, It was a tiring ordeal searching, until, finally.......... ENTER....ATTY. STACY LY! It's hard to describe her because she is so one of a kind in so many ways. Not only is Stacy a GREAT listener, with good perception, and understanding, and caring, and able to explain legal terms in ways easily understood, and is pleasant to talk with, but with all that, she has this TAKE CHARGE attitude, as she explains the steps she would take, and tells it like it, both the pros and the cons, and explains the options, and the intended and hopeful outcome. I had no reason to look any further than Stacy Ly. And, after my granddaughter came home from meeting Stacy for a consult, the huge smile of relief, like a huge burden had been lifted, and she had a feeling of confidence, I was not surprised. Stacy is not phony in the impressions she gives, she is for real, what you see is what you get. She is extremely knowledgeable, she's perceptive, sympathetic, understanding, and caring, and she is honest, will tell you like it is, and not just what you would rather hear. She will be THERE for you in every way she can be, doing all she can on your behalf. And, she will also be there if you, in the meanwhile, have any questions. She is quick to respond, unless she is in court all day, but will be sure to respond once she's out, even if it's later in the evening, and whether by a phone call, a text, or an email. The OUTCOME of my granddaughter's DIVORCE was better than expected. Stacy is not just an exceptional lawyer, she's a wonderful person. And, both my granddaughter and I thank her very much for being there.

She got my case won. But she was ill prepared. She didn't have anything ready at the timeof my trial. I could have done this case on my own better than this. All she cared about was the money. We had an arrangement set up for payments and she had called me 2 weeks before the payment was due to tell m...e she got a rushed court date. It was a heabeus courps against my ex who kidnapped my daughter across state lines. It was an urgent case and she knew it. Anyway she calls me and and tells me if I don't pay her that day she would change my court date. Because she was worried about not getting paid after the trial .. I had to call her and argue my case stating that we had a signed agreement with the dates for payments I had already paid everything early. That was agreed apon for that month. I had to tell her that this involved a 5 year old child and remind her what her flipping job was and she wanted to push a court date back because other clients had stiffed her in the past. I had to tell her that I should not have to be punished for othersomeone actions of her past especially since we had a signed legal agreement. But yes she threatened to change the court date over 750 dollars that she got paid also before the said time on our agreement. She was willing to risk my 5 year olds life for a pay day.... very unprofessional she also promised to get my attorney fees granted to be paid back by the losing party and it was granted that I was to get my attorney fees back. It took her over a month to get me a signed court order scanned and sent through email and I still haven't received my original certified copy of the decree. This case was back in August.... it's Nov and I've had to reach out to her severaltimes to get the proper paper work.. and she also told me she wouldn't presue from get my athorny and court fees. Because she has credit card debt and it would cost her more money to her daggum job she was already paid to do! And I'm sure she will post under here about how she's justified in some way and say. This client paid me to get her child back and I did. But she was also paid to do sooo much more. She only got 2 stars because she won a case that was already a walking in the park. She got me a court date in less than a months time but not without me calling every other day to make sure she did her job..... if I even lived in tx I would never hire her again.

Atty. Stacey Ly is the kind of lawyer you need to handle your case, she is very professional, intelligent person, a lawyer that you can TRUST to help you with your case. Where do I start??? Ms.Ly came into the situation on a child support case which dramatically turned into a custody case! Thats when her weakness showed & I, the mother, lost custody of my daughter!!! Never had a bad background or anything! Ms Ly initially agreed to a payment arrangement based on my i...ncome & as a single mother of two. As my case was coming to an end out of nowhere I receive an email from Ms Ly requesting thousands of dollars (some of my bill as she put it) to continue my case otherwise she will dismiss herself! This is 2 months before my last court date! Bottom line, throughout child support case she was okay. Once it turned into custody, she was so BAD! Other attorneys spoke over her, she never had a good come back on anything as if she didnt know what to do! Gave me wrong advice & left me to represent myself in the end. I wouldn't let her represent my dog!!!!!!

Stacy was unprofessional, always late to court and mediation dates. She is cold and doesn't care about the people or childern involved (she has no childern so how could she?).. but she definitly will care about her payments! I initially thought this "to-the-point" attitude would be a great trait in a... lawyer, but she lack the passion to help her clients so it makes this a pretty much useless trait. She would constantly recommend ar just accept opposing council's suggestions and wouldn't even put up a counter-argument. I worked hard in my child custody case to detail evidence and she just kind of "showed up." I never felt we were on the same side. Please don't waste all that money on her.
