Stacy Kiet Ly

I hired Ms. Ly based on the positive reviews I read on her. Over the initial call she seemed like she was a tough one and that is what I needed. She failed to answer my questions and concerns by email during my custody case. Many red flags but I trusted she would help. She told me she would call me a... day before my hearing to prep me and didn't. She tried prepping me the day of court in a matter of 5 minutes knowing I told her how unprepared I felt and how I lack verbal skill, I was honest about how I lack confidence to speak in courts and tend to not represent myself well. During her 5 minute prep she told me to answer yes or no only, not too much detail because she did not have time, I knew that day I would lose. She never once shared with me the other party's exhibits prior to court so I could prepare my defense, yet she shared mine with them. I lost my case because I was not represented at all. I went into the case afraid to lose if I was not represented well, instead I lost the case feeling not represented at all. Ms. Ly failed in so many ways, lack of communication was the biggest factor. In fact, I had to find out my case information through the clerks office public records to be up to date and ask her about it, like how the Temporary Restraining order was denied and she never took time to notify me, or how the judge wanted to see my son earlier and I had to ask Ms. Ly to please schedule. She tried to make it seem I had the wrong information to later say, yes the judge will see your son earlier and I will schedule. Even after losing and firing her I had 15 days from the day the judge signed the new order to provide the other party with information I would not know of if I hadn't gotten a copy of the new order myself from the clerks office as soon as it became available which was 8/30/21. Ms. Ly sent me the signed order on 9/14/21, it took her that long to provide me with the new order. I would not waste my time or money with her, definitely look elsewhere.

my divorce lasted for more than 2 years due to the fact that ex was been difficult, but Ms Ly stood by me throughout this my "trying period" and, fought for the justice and custody that I deserve. she was always in court on court dates, always answers or returns my calls no matter when I call, nights... or weekends. She answers my questions even when they are repeated and explains every legal term to me. She fought for me like she will fight for a sister, never gave up until it was all over. I highly recommend this Angel in Human form.

I used this lawyer unfortunately. I lost my case and kids due to her not being on time and sending assistants with no information on my case. She stood right by me while I was sent to jail with no support or argument and she only came to see me 1 time in 3 months I was released on July 11th and on ...July 15th she is informing me that she is at the judges office to see the judge to request early release for me? She did nothing I paid her for. My opinion is this lawyer should not work for families as she is incompetent and does not have any legal knowledge, communication, compassion or respect for her clients to know I was released. Beware you will loose everything!

I had a simple divorce case with child custody. Ms. Ly was ok, but she took her time with my case. At my first court date, she didnt even recognize who i was. Ms. Ly was not even prepared for the court date, she showed up really late, and didnt have any info on my terms and what we discussed in her o...ffice weeks ago. I understand one has many clients to represent, but not so many to where you don't know who they are or what they want. I also felt like i was always contacting her to hear updates on my case. Ms. Ly seemed too busy to keep up with her clients. She is an ok lawyer, however i dont recommend her.

Stacy was unprofessional, always late to court and mediation dates. She is cold and doesn't care about the people or childern involved (she has no childern so how could she?).. but she definitly will care about her payments! I initially thought this "to-the-point" attitude would be a great trait in a... lawyer, but she lack the passion to help her clients so it makes this a pretty much useless trait. She would constantly recommend ar just accept opposing council's suggestions and wouldn't even put up a counter-argument. I worked hard in my child custody case to detail evidence and she just kind of "showed up." I never felt we were on the same side. Please don't waste all that money on her.
