Ruben Anthony Najera

Ruben Anthony Nájera is a bilingual trial attorney who focuses on immigration law. Previous experience includes working as an Assistant District Attorney and practice in the areas of Special Education Law, Criminal Defense, and Family Law.

Mr. Nájera was born and raised in southwest Texas in the town of La Pryor. He gives recognition for the support of his mother, younger sister and brother were the catalyst that motivated him to strive to venture out and see what was beyond his small town. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he was a founding father to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Texas Chi Chapter; President of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society; a member of the College Cheerleading Team, and a University Tour Guide. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he was the Winner of the Intra-School Mock Trial Competition and named Best Litigator. He was a member ofthree National Mock Trial Teams competing in Michigan, Ohio, and New York, and was an Ambassador for the School.

Family is extremely important to Mr. Nájera. He is married to his husband, a high school band director and professional musician. They are currently fostering two amazing children, that they hope to adopt and provide them with a forever home. Their two dogs Lilly and Dash complete their family. Mr. Nájera’s passion is, and has always been, education and the desire to help others. He draws on his past work as an Elementary and High School teacher to have a true understanding of the family dynamic when representing his clients. He knows that the legal issues that he is fighting can have lasting effects on the client and the family unit.
