About Jose
Biography
Jose is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. He proudly served with the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005 to 2006. After leaving the military, he attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He was a member of the prestigious Texas Legislative Internship Program during his time at the University of Houston.
Soon after graduating from U of H, Jose enrolled in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He obtained an associate editor position on the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and actively participated on the Moot Court team. He competed in numerous moot court competitions. As a member of the Earl Carl Institute, he wrote, researched, and edited portions of Our Story, a publication devoted to telling the rich history of Texas Southern University. Jose ultimately graduated summa cum laude and in the top 10 % of his graduating class.
On his free time, Jose enjoys running, reading, and volunteering.
