I think our situation was over this lawyer's pay grade but it would have been helpful had he let us know this at the beginning rather than just ignoring us at the end. Deal had a very tight timeline and we needed the full attention of our legal team in order to get through it. We got more voicemail... than we did assistance and we eventually had to reach out to another firm. Still am waiting for a returned call considering we were to lose our deposit on August 22nd.

I have had several meetings that have included this lawyer. In each case he seemed to be the least prepared of anyone in the room. I don't know if his workload is just so high that he does not have the time but that's not an excuse. He does not have an assistant that is helpful which is the firm's... fault and not his but if I am paying the money that I am being billed I want the sharpest lawyer in the room. He isn't.

I do not typically express my feelings in a forum such as this but this is one time where it is necessary. My firm has been a Baker client for 11 years. I have always been pleased with their work. This addition to the team was not helpful. He speaks broadly about his own interests in the oil patc...h and gives details about other Baker clients that I should not know. If he is telling me specifics on what a competitor is doing in the same region we are investing in, I can only conclude he has the capacity to do the same about our firm. That is unacceptable.
