Biography
Myres & Associates practices a unique, team-based approach to family law. Every case is assigned a team of legal professionals, beginning with the attorney and client and expanding to include paralegals and other support staff. Also available are other skilled professionals such as financial advisors and mental health experts to join the team when necessary. The Firm's goal is to help each client access all of the resources and professional assistance the firm can provide, ensuring that each task is addressed by the most appropriate person.
Susan earned her BS from the University of Kansas in 1979 and her JD from the University of Houston Law Center in 1982. She was admitted to the Texas Bar in the same year and today can appear before the U.S. District Court Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Texas.
Her expertise is regularly sought by other attorneys, and Susan gives lectures in topics ranging from family law and mediation to professional responsibility in child abuse cases. She is involved in several professional associations, including the Texas Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (fellow), Texas Woman Lawyers, and many others.
