Sunita Kapoor

I started my EB1 with Sunita Kapoor a year back and i am so grateful to my friend who introduced me to Sunita and team. I was not very convinced about EB1 but her team assured me that they won’t take any case where they are not certain(very) of positive outcome. I am aware no one can guarantee a posi...tive outcome, but her team evaluated my case and assured me that I have a good chance and that’s what mattered to me, an objective evaluation. - Initial assessment: Included very professional and objective analysis of my professional life. I was asked many questions around my accomplishments, role, and compensation. Michael from Sunita's team assessed my case and agreed to accept it. - Retainer: I retained Sunita Kapoor as my lawyer and Michael started working with me on recommendation letters. - Gathering recommendation letter: This was the hardest part of the process for me. It took me a few months to get my first letter right. It needed multiple iterations. Michael was very helpful and provided good quality actionable guidance on time - Other paperwork: Once I was close to completing 5 letters, we started working on accomplishments which included article published, speaking engagements, company details etc. - Review: Once all the paperwork was ready Michael worked on creating a compelling case which could be easily understood. I was impressed how elegantly he would convert my jargons into plan English and ask me follow up questions to get to a powerful explanation of why it matters. I strongly believe this is the area where a good lawyer can make or break the deal. I was providing him bits and pieces of information, but he was the one connecting the dots and building a case. After the package was ready, I could see how he has joined all the work that I have done so far in a compelling case which could be easily understood. Each sentence was in the package was for a reason. He created a compelling case using the siloed information I provided him over 6 months. This is what I call impressive and not many lawyers can connect the siloed information. Sunita’s team knows what they are doing. It took me a year to complete my package. I could have done it in 6 months, but I added a delay of additional 5-6 months. Sunita’s team never added any delay. Michael was always available to talk to me, sometimes just to calm my nerves. Sunita is a personable(English is my second language so please pardon my errors) lawyer who will treat you like a partner and is in it with you to create a success story for you. My case was approved today but if I were to write this review a week back or even after a RFE, I would still say she did the best she could(trust me, she is very capable) and I am very happy my friend recommended me to her. I have developed so much respect for her as a person that I look forward to travel to Houston to just meet her. She is an extremely capable attorney with a very efficient team. She is also a good human. This review is for other people like me looking for a good attorney, I would recommend Sunita in a jiffy. I hope my review helps you decide.
