When I was looking for an attorney to create a number of documents to protect my family in case I'm incapacitated or died, I spoke to numerous law firms. Basically they named a number of legal documents that I would need (usually did not explain their importance). When I asked about the professional costs, I was amazed at the very high cost of just filling in names, addresses and other facts needed for a simple will, power of attorney, etc. when using readily standard, readily available forms. With that said, complicated financial requirements such as trusts, estates, etc., the costs are much higher due to the time involved meeting with the attorney. Submit the answers and how to pay for documentation and the next day you will receive the forms as attachments to an email. I wanted to speak to him concerning some legal questions I had and the same day I submitted the answers he called me late in the same day.
