The decision to dissolve our family with my former husband was made by me after 6 months of failed marriage counseling. Naturally, it did not stand well with the controlling/abusive personality that he had. The rage and anger started immediately after I told him about my decision. It will be extremely beneficial during your mediation process, since your opponent will be losing his/hers argument. 6) She will come fully prepared for the mediation. We had rental properties, a business, stock investments, MY undocumented separate property that HE was never going to admit. Lacy knew how to handle those difficult property division cases, when there is no prenuptial agreement. The mediator she recommended for our case was not necessarily the cheapest in town. However, his expertise guaranteed our successful settlement that night without the need to go to court. 7) During the whole divorce and the mediation in particular Lacy was very sharp, tough and fighting for me and my children's interests .
