Darren was born in London, England, and lived there for 10 years before moving to the United States. The son of hardworking Jamaican immigrants, he was brought to America as his parents pursued the American Dream and sought better educational opportunities for their children. Inspired by their determination, Darren developed a deep appreciation for education, service, and justice—values that ultimately fueled his dream of becoming an attorney.
In high school, a pivotal experience shaped his path: he was invited to shadow a friend’s father, a law firm partner, who introduced him to case research, strategy meetings, and the importance of community service. Darren learned that while a legal career could offer success, the most meaningful rewards came from helping others.
He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University, followed by an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He then pursued his J.D. at Texas Southern University, determined to use the law as a tool for change.
While in law school, Darren interned for a mass tort attorney working on cases of psychiatric fraud. He was horrified by the emotional and physical abuse suffered by patients and the deception families faced at the hands of profit-driven institutions. This experience left a lasting impact and reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for victims of exploitation and injustice.
Today, Darren remains focused on advocacy, education, and reform. Whether through legal representation, public awareness, or legislative efforts, he is deeply committed to empowering victims, changing laws, and making a meaningful difference. Darren believes that by standing up for the voiceless and holding wrongdoers accountable, we can build a safer, more just society—together.

And I was told repeatedly, 25 percent, and after my case was settled, D Miller took 50 percent of my settlement, saying that the extra fees was listed in the agreement document, a document that...
