Alzheimer’s and anger issues

He is the old white guy everyone warns you about. Angry- and just smart enough to be really dangerous. He won’t remember the details in your case. Family law and he’s been your attorney for years? He will have no idea of your kids’ names. Mocking witnesses and calling them “f*****g b****” when the ju...dge steps out for a moment? Yes- this is your man. Trying to engage the courtroom with his affected good-ole-boy act? Yes- this is what you get when you pay 5+ figures for his representation. He is an overpriced, arrogant, blowhard with a Napoleon complex.

Unfortunately I had hired such attorney

I made the mistake of hiring Mr. Lindamood on my divorce case. When we went to mediation despite my multiple requests to go to trial he decided to grant the petitioners attorney more unreasonable discovery. When I questioned he withdraw and I went pro se. Best thing I did. I got the divorce done on t...he next hearing, something Mr. Lindamood could not for over 18 months. He also didn't care about the fact I was being charged child support for my son who became an adult. Made no effort to decrease or request repayment for the excess paid. Motions that I made as a pro se. He didn't even know that I was paying child support for an adult child. I am taking the time to write this review so you don't spent the amount of money I have spend and have to see someone who does not know the details of your case, will not stand up for you and quite frankly I don't think he cared about me. He is very likable person in person but I have serious concerns about his working ethics.

Horrible - waste of money

I hired Mr Lindamood in 2015 for a child custody/modification case. He spent the first 15 minutes of EVERY call trying to remember the details of the case. He refused to file a discovery so child support could be correctly modified and said "not unless you pay me another $10-$15 K". I suppose that...'s fine if you have a lot of money to burn through. Seemed like he just milked the clock with us. I'm still on his mailing list and get crap from him once a quarter. Makes me want to spit when I get the mail. Not at all what I read in the other reviews. Buyer beware!

Awesome Caring Attorney

Steve Lindamood is a class AAA Attorney! We had the pleasure of having Steve as our attorney for 10 years and he always treated us fairly and cared about us and our children. During the time Steve represented us we had been drug into the court system for every frivolous law suit you can imagine and... Steve always was knowledgeable and was able to get a fair resolution to the situation. We had crappy attorney's prior to Steve and I can tell you they were not worth the money we paid them, we would have rather thrown the money in the street! I refer anyone I know that needs a family law attorney to Steve Lindamood and feel confident he will treat them the same as he did my husband and I. Thank You Steve Lindamood..

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. Steve Lindamood is my opposing counsel on a particularly contentious case. Although the case is difficult, he is not. He is a fine example of the way attorneys should behave toward each other."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
