I CONSIDER THIS MAN THE ABSOLUTE WORST ATTORNEY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. BAD COUNSEL LEFT ME WITH $293,000 LIABILITY

I had a chapter 13 filing with this Attorney. When I got divorced and could not handle the mortgage any more, i made several efforts to get him to convert to chapter 7, so I could discharge everything, including the Foreclosure Liability that was imminent. I got some response FINALLY, after I wrote ...him two certified letters with return receipt. Then, he managed to convince me that I was better off with the Chapter 13. Being in that state of mind where you lose your House, your Wife and your job, all within a short space of time, you are too weak to fight or think for yourself. My Attorney gave me a terrible piece of advise. I could not understand why this Man thought I was better off continuing to pay debts I did not have to, and could not afford any more, instead of converting to chapter 7. Well, I listened to him, and made the greatest mistake of my life. My Chapter 13 has been discharged, and my lender waited till now to make formal foreclosure move on the House. Since I cannot file for another Bankruptcy for several years, I am now stuck with a Liability of $293,000 on a $158,000 House. How could this Man call himself a Lawyer? My several calls were never answered, most messages left on their answering system were never returned, and it got to a point where I practically threatened his License for him to return my calls. In lots of cases, I had to call the Office to ask about certain mails I received from David Peak, and I suspect they were sent copies. I was the one who notified my Attorney's Office about my Chapter 13 payments having been completed. Should it not have been the other way around? Sometimes, I was tempted to think he might be working against, and not for me. Yes, it was that bad. Am I wrong to feel this way? Are all Bankruptcy Lawyers like this?

What a relief

I was worried, scared, stressed, not sleeping and did not know what to do. When I left Jason's office I felt like I could breath again. I slept that night. His office staff is very nice and all so helpful. Jason is a nice person that listened to me and did not make me feel like a number and gave me a... solution I could live with and solved my problems. Thank you Jason!

Best Bankruptcy Lawyer in Dallas/Ft. Worth

I had gone through my 3rd round of unemployment in 2 yrs. Companies closing, downsizing, etc. I fell behind on credit card payments and had medical bills as my employer did not have health insurance and Obama care was too expensive. It was either the cost of a new car payment, or $150 more than my re...nt! So much for getting the uninsured health insurance. Anyway, The Lass-Sughrue firm was up-front regarding costs. They were always there to answer any questions and even sat with me at the Hearing of Creditors. They explained everything to me where I could easily understand it and made me feel at ease. They were professional and filed fast! I never wanted to go bankrupt but sometimes it becomes your only option. They made sure the collection agents who were calling as late as midnight stopped calling immediately. I hope nobody has to go through a bankruptcy, but if you do, Call Lass-Sughrue first. You'll be glad you did.

Help in a Time of Need!

I want to express my thanks to Jason and LAAS Law Firm of Dallas for the help provided at this stressful time in my life and my wife's life concerning my home and dealing with my Mortgage Servicer. We have had a six year battle with our Servicer and they have changed several times with all kinds of ...claims. Feeling pressed on all sides I had received some advertising concerning saving your home in a difficult time. It was a Friday March 20, 2015 at 4:00pm and I was reading about all these Attorney's and how they would help and for me to call them now. I say Jason add and it said check out firms offering help and call and see if you can speak to the Attorney who wrote you offering help. I picked up the phone and tested Jason's statement to speak to the Attorney who wrote you. I was on hold for 42 minutes from 4:10pm to 4:52pm that Friday on the 20th. I hung up and I called Jason's office at 4:52pm on a Friday afternoon. To my surprise Ashley who works there answered the phone and I asked for Jason. In less than just a few moments Jason answered the phone and we spoke for almost 30 minutes until 5:20pm. Jason listened to every work I spoke and asked some direct questions and I set an appointment with him at 3:00pm on Thursday March 26, 2015. I arrived and Jason came in sat down in his conference room and I explained all the problems with the Servicer and my loan and documents and he went over all the important information and asked many questions about my loan and the problems we discussed. I left his office at 5:20pm on the 26th of March and was not charged for any services to that point. Jason helped with forming three or four options to work on our matter concerning our home and the possible loss of our house. Jason and his staff began helping me and we are still working with the Servicer to get the matters addressed that I could not get addressed on my own. Jason listens and explains all the legal matters in a way that makes every matter more clear in your mind. He and his staff have gone the extra mile to help in the most difficult time in our 38 years of marriage. I would recommend the LAAS Law Firm to anyone who is facing a difficult time concerning their home and the possible loss of your home. I know his plans may not work for everyone but I nothing beats a failure but a try! You will not know if there is help unless you make an effort like I did to find out. That starts with a phone call and appointment. I know I am very thankful to have made that call. Sincerely, L. Frank

Laas Law Firm, Much Better

My home is set for foreclosure and I have seen several "lawyers" in Dallas. I say "lawyers" because all three firms that I have visited for advice made me wait in the lobby until a paralegal was ready to tell me that Bankruptcy was the only thing that would work for me! I read the letter from the L...aas Law Firm and took the advice it gave me. I called and ask for Jason Laas Sughrue, to my supprise he was actually the one that answered the phone. When I made it to the appointment that he was able to give me that same day I called I met with HIM NOT A PARALEGAL. My over all experience with Jason was so much better than the other 3 firms that I hired him on the spot. He is working on a forberance for me to try to avoid having to file a bankruptcy. Thanks Jason and Thanks to everyone at the Laas Law Firm.
