I do NOT recommend Jason Laas-Sughrue of JLS law out of Waco/Arlington - He incompetent and lies.

I do not recommend and will never refer anyone to Jason Laas-Sughrue of JLS law. I made the mistake of responding to a mailed flyer and contacting Jason Laas-Sughrue by phone on September 16th. In that initial phone conversation he said he would first reach out to the opposing counsel and request a... forbearance, modification or some other type of resolution other than bankruptcy. But if needed a bankruptcy could be done. He said over the phone his retainer to do all this was $400. He then wanted to do a Zoom meeting on September 17 – which took an hour of basically me watching him type a letter, asking for documents (which could have been done via text or email) and him asking me questions he already had the answer to - like my cell number that he had already used to text and email of which he had already asked for documents. It was a complete waste of time. He asked for a 2nd zoom, which consisted of him saying the attachments in your emails did not come though please re-send. That was it. Again waste of time. This could have been communicated via text or email. During that zoom his assistant Molly said they had everything they needed, they were in contact with opposing counsel and that if we needed to do a bankruptcy she would make sure to have all paper work for me to sign on October 1st. She said they would call on September 29th to confirm. NO one called. I complained. He requested a 3rd zoom which literally consisted of him saying….Molly is going to email you later with questions to finish the documents…. Molly did not email. No one called on October 1st. I complained on October 2nd. and complained about not receiving the documents that I needed to design. This incompetent person then said I am waiting on the retainer. (Had never asked before – poor business ethics). I sent the $400 on Friday, October 3rd after I had to ask for an invoice, link or some way to pay the retainer as he had only said….”how do you want to send the retainer”. Again poor business practices. . No response. I reached out on Saturday, October 4. No response. I continued to email & text. He then said his retainer was $4250 instead of $400. He now was wanting the entire atty fee allowed by the courts – even though his initial email said… “This fee is generally approved by the bankruptcy court and is paid through your Chapter 13 plan.” I panic since the sale date was Tuesday October 7th and I had not planned (over these past weeks ) for $4000 since he had said $400. I complained. His response was I’ll send you back your $400. That was it. He left me hanging to find someone to assist me with just 1 business day before the sale. This speaks volumes of his integrity & character. There was no contract, lack of disclosure and lies from the beginning to the end. I do not recommend Jason Laas-Sughrue of JLS Law out of Waco (or Arlington as they claim). He also goes by Jason Sughrue and Jason Delmar. I would not trust this shady person with any thing that is important to your family.

Excellent legal help from Jason Laas firm

My wife and I were facing financial difficulties and were facing a foreclosure. We called Jason Laas firm for help based on all the mailers we received. I had quickly reviewed some firms online, and Jason Laas' firm stood out. I only encountered a bad report published on the Ripoff Report Web site. T...his did not bother me because I do know firsthand that these Web sites are not credible. The fact is anyone can right a bad review on such sites with little verification of the identity of the author. Often competitors will write a bad review under a fake name to tarnish a competing business. Sites like Ripoff Report and Yelp are known to allow just about any negative reviews with little monitoring. So this review did not stop me since I consider those sites border line scam. I called the firm and Jason actually answered the phone. After a brief conversation, I immediately made an appointment. There is a warm welcome when you enter his firm. Everyone seem to be kind and professional. Jason took the time to listen to my case and we retained his firm for our case. I must say that Jason and his team are knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. So far we have received excellent advice and service. They really try to work with you and look at every possibility to make it happen in your favor. Jason is very responsive including the entire staff and he kept me informed about the whole process. I will certainly recommend his firm in the future to anyone facing a bankruptcy or foreclosure of a home in the DFW area.

Best Bankruptcy Lawyer in Dallas/Ft. Worth

I had gone through my 3rd round of unemployment in 2 yrs. Companies closing, downsizing, etc. I fell behind on credit card payments and had medical bills as my employer did not have health insurance and Obama care was too expensive. It was either the cost of a new car payment, or $150 more than my re...nt! So much for getting the uninsured health insurance. Anyway, The Lass-Sughrue firm was up-front regarding costs. They were always there to answer any questions and even sat with me at the Hearing of Creditors. They explained everything to me where I could easily understand it and made me feel at ease. They were professional and filed fast! I never wanted to go bankrupt but sometimes it becomes your only option. They made sure the collection agents who were calling as late as midnight stopped calling immediately. I hope nobody has to go through a bankruptcy, but if you do, Call Lass-Sughrue first. You'll be glad you did.

My car was repossessed and Jason got it back for me

I lost my job and missed a few payments on my car. They came and repossessed it and I thought it was gone forever. My friend told me about how Jason has helped him so I made an appointment but didnt have any hope he could help me. He told me about how bankruptcy could get my car bsck and let me keep ...it. I always heard bankruptcy was bad but it sure helped me out! I would reconmnend Jason to anyone!

Laas Law Firm, Much Better

My home is set for foreclosure and I have seen several "lawyers" in Dallas. I say "lawyers" because all three firms that I have visited for advice made me wait in the lobby until a paralegal was ready to tell me that Bankruptcy was the only thing that would work for me! I read the letter from the L...aas Law Firm and took the advice it gave me. I called and ask for Jason Laas Sughrue, to my supprise he was actually the one that answered the phone. When I made it to the appointment that he was able to give me that same day I called I met with HIM NOT A PARALEGAL. My over all experience with Jason was so much better than the other 3 firms that I hired him on the spot. He is working on a forberance for me to try to avoid having to file a bankruptcy. Thanks Jason and Thanks to everyone at the Laas Law Firm.

Jason knows how to connect to people, to understand them, and match them with the best solution for their current situation. That "bedside manner" continues in the courtroom and with fellow attorneys so he is well respected in our legal community. I happily endorse Jason!"
