There are some vile, greedy lawyers in family law and I have experienced quite a few during my post-divorce life. After a horrible experience with my divorce attorney, I found myself hiring another to fight a frivolous custody suit filed by my ex-wife. After interviewing 4 different attorneys, hiri...ng one and then soon firing her after the temp order mediation, I was frustrated that I would never find a “good” attorney. I needed someone that was different than the rest and would do the exact opposite of every other attorney I had ever known (b/c all they seemed to do was pay attention to their big money cases and do mine in their spare time). They needed to live up to their fiduciary responsibility and put my best interest first, not their wallets. They needed to do the job I was paying them to do and keep me informed. They needed to be professional and make my case a priority. I do not have the time to constantly stay on top of the attorney to make sure they are doing their job or ask them what is going on because they dropped off the face of the earth. After interviewing Tesha Peeples, I had a feeling she was different and made the decision to move forward with her. I didn’t know it at the time, but that was THE best decision I could have ever made. My ex-wife hired one of the dirtiest, slimiest attorneys in town who obviously had personal relationships with people in high positions within the family court system that he tried to use to get his way. Even the associate judge made a decision against us no one could believe that made all of us question what was going on. But since Tesha knows the law, she took the correct steps and had that bad decision reversed to our favor. The dirty, slimy attorney my ex hired was no intellectual match for Tesha even though he claims to have graduated Magna cum laude from law school. She fought for me like no one else would (or has) simply because she cares. Tesha knew how important my kids are to me and made my case a priority. As this case drug out, I became more and more frustrated with the entire process and the shenanigans of opposing counsel. Tesha was there to calm me down and explain everything in a way that made sense and made me feel as though it was all going to be ok. So not only did she perform the duties of my legal advisor, she also had to play part time psychiatrist. That is when it became very obvious to me that she has high morals, values, and principles and her primary concern was the best interest of me and the kids. I did not have to stay on top of her to get things done or to keep me informed. Every single thing she ever told me she was going to do, she did. She returned every single phone call and email in a timely manner and went completely above and beyond all my expectations. I cannot recommend Tesha any more highly and promise you will not regret having her on your team. In fact, I will say that it is a complete mistake for you not to hire her as your attorney. As for the end result of my case - I was being sued to have my kids completely taken away from me and because of Tesha, I now have significantly more access to my kids than I did previous to the suit. She also got me all the additional things I wanted. As for my ex, well she got nothing but a huge bill from the greedy, dirty, slimy attorney and less time with the kids. Thanks Tesha!!
