Don't get Sold Out Like I Did!

Once again, I would give this law firm ZERO Stars if I could! I was involved with them several years ago with a disability case I had with them. Sadly, I got stuck with one of their useless lawyers named Madison Donaldson who In short sold me out and tried to force me to take a very small settlement ...instead of looking out for my best interest and pushing for a better outcome. In the end I lost the court case due to their inept legal skill set. They refused to send me for an extensive functional capacity examination and the appeal they wrote looked like it was written by a third grader. After losing the court case I spoke to numerous other law firms and they all told me that Marc Whitehead & Associates is just a "mill type" law firm that just tries to take any low-ball settlements just to win cases and never push for their client's best interest. Sadly, I wish I would have known this before hiring them. This place is an absolute SCAM and if you really need a good disability lawyer DO NOT use them as they will sell you out! PS, like all worthless companies that unfortunately I have had to give a bad review to, they will probably say "they have no record of me" to try and make this review sound false. Believe me when I tell you it is far from false!! A.P.

Not Transparent & Hard to contact

The firm accepted me as a client, then retracted. They refused to give any information to why. I believe it's because I asked to many question/interview the firm so I truly understand who will be representing my case. You must ask question; you must interview the any firm before you hire them and/or ...end up with poor representation. I learned this the hard way and I won't make the same mistake twice. I now have allot of experience with attorneys/firms and have learned what to look for in a good & bad attorney. This firm does an amazing job advertising & trying to be flashy/appealing. I can tell you from experience those qualities are only to attract clients but will not win your case. Where they fail is the 2 most important factors for any client. Difficult to make contact, they are always too busy. When you call it goes to an operator who takes a message then you have to wait days to weeks before receiving a call back. Then when they call its super early in the morning, if you miss the call, you go round and round with same process. The 2nd area they fail is being transparent, open, honest with clients &/or potential clients. A firm that is unable to provide these 2 essential services will hurt you when faced with deadlines and time is of the essence. The only reason I give 2 stars is because they do have a nice website & the staff does try hard to have that fake kindness.

Social Security Disability

To be honest I never use lawyers for anything because I don't trust them. Marc Whitehead and Associates prove me wrong about their office they were very trustworthy. I am a 100% disabled veteran and was unable to work for the last 2 1/2 years and applied for SSDI and was turned down twice which made ...me very depressed. So I decided to google the best lawyers in Houston that deal with SSDI and Marc Whitehead office pop up so I gave his office a call. Mrs. Warren won my heart from the started she was for caring and professional about my situation and always returned my calls. Mrs. Harris is a very strong and intelligent woman because I can be very aggressive when I want things done but she stayed cool and went beyond her job to make me understand and happy. Chris Davil played a role in this also I read a lot of reviews on Mr. Davil and was impressed so I requested him personally. John Rios was very patient with me getting my medical records and stayed in contact with me until it was completed. Marc Whitehead your staff is the best in the City of Houston and thanks for everything.

Amazing company

I am still in the process of my claim but I will give them a 5* regardless. They are incredibly kind, smart and they understand the law. Georgia has been an angel, even on bad days when she is probably slammed she has let me vent just about my medical issues. She is such a kind hearted person. ... Please if you are declined or you just applied, get an attorney, I made the mistake of not hiring an attorney upfront but now that I have Marc Whitehead behind me I feel incredibly confident on this journey. They have had me do certain tasks that if I went at it alone, I would have never done such as getting a notarized full day of what my work entails. Or doing a notarized medical affidavit, or getting family and friend testimonials and explaining what is important to point out. If you are declined, PLEASE do not go at it alone, the insurance company is in this to make money, not do the right thing. I want to share an example of what they do to anyone reading this. I had a friend with cancer get declined for disability, he thought this is a slam dunk, all my doctors are saying I can't work so he appealed it. 30 days later they came back and declined his appeal and also told him he exhausted his options. When he went to hire an attorney, he learned that his insurance company didn't even use half of the medical documents he sent, they picked and choose what fit there narrative. He also was told he has zero case because there was limited evidence to even work with in court. So he had a legit disability, cancer, he was in bad kemo and struggling and insurance screwed him. Please hire an attorney, they will protect you and ensure they don't do that. They do ALOT behind the scenes like vocational letters that 99% of people appealing on there own won't do.

Not worth the trouble

I hired this firm to help with my disability case. I never actually spoke to an attorney, only paralegals (Kevin somebody) and assistants. Even then communication was spotty. I filled out my own paperwork and when the submitted it back to me for approval (??) dates were wrong, dependants were missin...g and even misspelled my name! The little faith I had in this firm went out the window. I never received a request for more info from the SS office and only found out about the day before the deadline because they bothered to actually check in with me. I of course didn't win at which point I severed ties with this firm to pursue my case elsewhere.
