DIVORCING? I would NOT look anywhere else

If you are divorcing and you have assets at stake like in my case DO NOT look any further and hire Kelly! I have no words to express how much she helped me. I went thru a divorce that required me to hire 3 different attorneys. The first attorney lied to me saying she had done similar cases li...ke mine to find out after 10 months into my case that she lied and so I fired her. The second attorney felt I had to divide one of my investment properties because we both had our names on the deed, however, I had to drop him after my wife had a consultation with him and thus refused to let me proceed. Finally, my next-door neighbor, who is also a good real estate attorney recommended me to go with Kelly as she was considered to be a top, top, top attorney in Houston specially dealing with Family Law. Well, Kelly was the only attorney (out many more during consultations) who felt I may not need to share anything or maybe worst-case scenario a small percentage. The day of trial was amazing. After seeing Kelly in action, I started to relax and enjoy the ride. I felt so well protected and Kelly was delivering so professionally I already knew my case would end up better than I thought. Kelly is intelligent, professionally classy, well organized and above all experienced. She has in addition an amazing team of competent ladies making sure all ingredients are ready to deliver an impressive outcome. My first attorney at mediation felt $180,000 was a fair division. My second attorney felt I may need to pay my wife around $50,000. Kelly convinced the judge I owed $0.00. THE JUDGE AGREED. I rest my case.

Lost case; Bad all around

She was tricked by the opposing council. She did not know the facts of the case. She and her staff assumed I was lying, so they didn't even try. I wasn't lying. She didn't explain anything. She billed for two hours (over $1k) for reviewing a document, but then failed to comprehend the contents... suggesting that she either didn't read the document or has very low reading comprehension skills. I read and understood the same document in less than 20 min.

Bought off

Works with a network of legal friends, in order to coerce you into talking a "deal" after you have spent 100s of thousands of dollars already, provided documented of serious child-on-child abuse, that went without as much as a call to investigate, let alone make a required CPS report. An Amicus' job... is read ALL school documents, interview Drs., teachers, witnesses. An Amicus' job is the report crimes, report known child abuse. Their job is to get the the case along, not to put on the worst acting job, pretending to apparently change sides, like changing underwear, so that their team of friends can intimidate parents and syphon money as long as possible. This went on for years. Should have license revoked for putting children that were in danger, into danger that has now escalated to a level it is ruing the lives of children. All still documented.

Failing to respond or take action. Do not waste your time or finances. It was tough to pretend you didn't know you were getting taken for a ride. All of what you read that gives the profession a bad name. This is one opinion.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Kelly is a no nonsense, straight to the point person. This is refreshing in family law where sometimes the lead is buried or softened to spare feelings rather than provide an honest assessment of the merits of a case. I recommend Kelly and use her on my cases for the foregoing qualities.."

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
