Jessica is a dedicated bilingual personal injury attorney whose journey to advocate for her clients stems from her own personal experience with injury and injustice. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in Houston, Texas, Jessica’s upbringing instilled in her a deep sense of community and fairness.

Jessica’s passion for helping those injured by the negligent actions of others was ignited after suffering a life-altering collision as a teen. As a young, injured immigrant, she faced daunting challenges and physical limitations, including the loss of a college scholarship opportunity. Determined to make a difference, Jessica embarked on a mission to become a personal injury attorney and give voice to her community.

She specializes in representing victims against major corporations, handling a diverse range of cases, including airplane crashes, train collisions, traumatic brain injuries, sexual assault incidents, and fatalities (wrongful deaths) caused by drunk drivers or defective vehicles. Her diverse background includes work in international avionics, Texas and Houston politics, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, special needs children and adults, and sexual assault victims.

Jessica’s academic achievements, including a double degree in Economics and International Business from Sam Houston State University, laid the foundation for her legal career. She excelled at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she was a merit scholarship recipient and actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, including moot court and leadership roles in student organizations. During her third year, she studied at South Texas College of Law where she was chosen to be part of the No. 1 nationally ranked moot court team and ADR team. She went on to compete nationwide, won championships, and gathered an extensive list of advocacy awards for both teams.

Outside the courtroom, Jessica remains deeply involved in her Houston community, volunteering with charities, school systems, LGBTQ+ rights groups, immigrant rights organizations, and legal committees. When not advocating on behalf of her clients, you’ll find Jessica spending time spent traveling with her spouse and two dogs, exploring culinary delights, or learning about the latest moves in the stock market.
