Absolutely Horrible Attorney

I’m a man and felt less than a person dealing with this attorney. She stopped taking my calls after I paid her thousands and thousands of dollars in a child custody case. Please do better and find another career.

Another review from George Eric Saldana who is not, and never has been, a client of mine. My response to one of his other reviews: This particular man, George Eric Saldana, is an opposing party in one of my custody cases. This man believes that he should have custody of his 7 year old son, despite the fact that he beat and traumatized this autistic boy on numerous occasions, held a gun to the mother's head on at least three occasions, held a gun to his own head and threatened suicide on another 3 occasions, made a suicide attempt by crashing his motorcycle and ending up hospitalized on suicide watch for 3 months, has numerous documented mental illnesses, and believes he needs to wear a bulletproof vest to Court because he is accusing the bailiffs of wanting to kill him. It's my job to keep him from ever hurting his son again, and I take that job seriously. It doesn't surprise me at all that he doesn't like me very much.

Terrible , Not Client friendly and Greedy for $$$$

I was a client of this Lawyer, here is my experience. I turned in my Discover on time and Discovery was late and I was never Notified.... My phone calls are return 4-6 days later. Carolyn texts 98% of the time, her excuse is I'm having phone issues, and her assistant is the same way. They never in o...ffice, since I hired to do a job I receive 7calls, 42 text message, 60 emails. Not worth the money , DID'T CARE ABOUT MY DAUGHTERS AND I CUSTODY CASE. Never sent me a bill until she decided to withdraw of case ..... Again, these are just a few of several issues not only I had ,but others that is or has went to Avvo and other places about this Lawyer.

This is a man who hired me for a highly contested custody fight. During the course of the case, it came to light that he had repeatedly threatened and insulted the mother of his children with racial slurs - in writing. In the discovery responses, I attempted to do damage control on that issue, having him state that he regretted having made the statements, that he had learned that such statements were inappropriate, and that he would not repeat them. These discovery responses could not be served until he signed them under oath, which he refused to do. He accused me of lying about his having called his ex a N***** and claimed I got him in trouble for putting a reference to that in the papers where I was attempting to do damage control (which the other side never saw, since he did not sign the oath and I was unable to serve them anyway). His other discovery, which did not need to be signed by him, was properly served. This man then made threats of violence to me and my own child, along with many religiously outrageous statements in which he claimed God told him I was going to hell, etc. Given that it was impossible to work with this person, I did inform him I was withdrawing from his case. He then demanded a complete refund, despite the fact that I had more than earned the retainer her had paid and he owed several thousand more for the work I had done. I prepared his file and his final bill and told him I would mail it to him. He stated that he was going to come pick it up in person, which caused me to fear that he would actually commit violence. My paralegal nearly quit over her fears about this man coming to our office, as she had also seen his behavior.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
