I retained attorney Ana Maria Schwartz for my permanent residency petition in 2013. She and her office have been very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. Ms. Ana is knowledgeable about the process and the immigration system. She explained the process and the potential scenarios that ...we may encounter clearly to my husband and I. Through meeting, phone calls, and emails, she has been very patient and proactive in helping me with the petition process. She informed us of everything that was sent to the immigration and sent us a copy of all documents that were submitted. The day of my interview, I remember it was pouring outside but she arrived early. My petition process went smoothly and she was there for us every step of the way. My wife and I - who she being originally from Brazil - married in April 2011. Prior to that - she had been in the U.S. for about 3 years. Immediately after our marriage - we began the process of looking for a local Immigration Attorney to do 2 things. The 1st was to begin the process of making my wi...fe a legal resident of the U.S. which eventually would allow her to become a U.S. citizen - and 2nd - to also do the exact same thing for her 9 year old son - which would also allow him to come here legally and remain here permanently. He too was born in Brazil - but had never traveled outside of that country. I knew this would be a big undertaking - as you're dealing with the legalities of 2 countries combined with International Law - not to mention - other realms OUTSIDE of law - like the boy's biological dad in Brazil - who was initially adamant - that he would not allow this to happen. We were told by other Brazilian families that this would be a long and very costly process - but much longer and significantly more expensive - if choosing the wrong attorney. After much searching - we came across Mrs Schwartz - who has offices in both Austin and Houston, Texas. After the 1st interview - we were relieved to say the least - that this attorney knew the system - knew the legal - but also the non-legal hurdles that we would face - not to mention - the legal system in BOTH countries. She was upfront - literally answering a lot of questions - even BEFORE we asked them. What she said would happen along the way - happened exactly as she said. There were surprises to us along the way - but NOT to her and her expertise. What we would face happened exactly as she had said. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone having the FREE interview she offers - before making your choice of which Immigration Attorney to hire. In closing - she was MUCH cheaper in the COMPLETE services she offers - than all the other attorneys that we had contacted.

In September of 2010 I searched for immigration lawyers and found Anna. What likened me to Anna was that I came intent on getting a Fiance visa for my wife because I was advised by everyone that wasn't a lawyer that that is what I needed to do. Anna however sat me down and showed me that because of m...y situation a CR1 visa was both cost effective and less time consuming. To me, it spoke volumes about Anna and her integrity, when she could have said nothing and allowed me to go the long way much like what happened to my friend. She gave me suggestions of how to make the process go over easier. I took her suggestions and for the most part everything went off without a hitch. She set my expectations about pricing and milestones throughout the pcoess. The one negative experience I had was when my wife went to the consulate for her interview. I was surprised that Anna did not know that a biometrics appointment was needed prior to my wife's interview at the consulate. My wife was unprepared for it but fortunately. we were able to secure a biometerics appointment prior to her interview at the consulate. There were other hiccups on the way, but I have to attribute that to the lack or organization and synchronization between the government body's who are in charge of the these procedures. Overall, I found Anna to be quite honest and forthcoming about the entire process and set my expectations accrodingly. I would definitely suggest her a laywer if you are looking for an immigration lawyer.
