Immigration through marriage

My husband and I met with Ana Maria Schwartz after doing much research on our on and several consultations with other lawyers. We were pleasantly surprised to see how warm and welcoming she was compared to what we had already seen. She informed us of a way to file for residency in a way we had not be...en told of before or found through our own research. Our entire process took only 4 months from start to finish and was seamless. Ana Maria was in constant communication with us and walked us through every step of the process. She was always upfront, straight forward and on top of every minute detail throughout the entire process. We feel that Ana Maria truly made this process less stressful than it could have been. We appreciate her flexibility to meet with us during non office hours and allowing us to bring our infant son along with us. During our interview she even went above and beyond her call of duty and helped us out with the baby so we could concentrate on our interview. We would recommend her over and over to anyone needing help with immigration. Ana Maria was always fast to return calls and emails, she would update us before we even had a chance to ask what was next and she never tired of our questions. We never imagined the immigration process would be completed with such reassurance and confidence but Ana Maria made it that way for us. We will never forget her and everything she has done for us! We can now relax and enjoy our lives thanks to her assistance! Giancarlo & Amber May 2009

Ana was definitely very helpful on our immigration process. We had a very simple case and just expected to find a lawyer to help us fill out the forms to make sure we don't mess it up. Ana did that for us and more, she let us know the whole process and the time line for when we should expect certai...n action, gave us reminders of what needs to be done next when the time comes, and even met with us many times for simple questions and a mock-interview. My spouse and I definitely feel she went above and beyond what the contract had dictated. She also met us any time we wanted to, such as late afternoons on Saturdays since we have to work on weekdays, and doing so with a smile still! She was very responsive, one time we emailed her when she was out of country, but she responded very promptly letting us know the situations and allowing us to see her soon as she was back..

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
