My wife and I - who she being originally from Brazil - married in April 2011. Prior to that - she had been in the U.S. for about 3 years. Immediately after our marriage - we began the process of looking for a local Immigration Attorney to do 2 things. The 1st was to begin the process of making my wi...fe a legal resident of the U.S. which eventually would allow her to become a U.S. citizen - and 2nd - to also do the exact same thing for her 9 year old son - which would also allow him to come here legally and remain here permanently. He too was born in Brazil - but had never traveled outside of that country. There were surprises to us along the way - but NOT to her and her expertise. What we would face happened exactly as she had said.
