CROOKED

Read the other reviews...our experience was exactly the same. Lies, excuses, more lies, no call backs, more lies, voice mail full, missed deadlines. This behavior started after he took our payment when we decided to hire him. Always on Twitter bashing the political party he didn't agree with. The bo...ard was no help in trying to fire him. We fought and fought him on returning our money. By that time, he'd missed a few deadlines and we FINALLY got our money back after threatening to take our case against him further. We ended up wasting 6 months of time and energy on this guy. Ended up hiring another firm that was wonderful. Mr. Southerland is a crook. I didn't even need to write this review because the other reviews here is exactly what we went through with this guy. You've been warned.

Shuckster

You would think that coming off a 2 year probation case for professional misconduct, that Mr. Southerlands 'T's would be crossed and 'I's dotted. For the past 6 months +, Mr. Southerland on 11 separate occassions, has himself given self imposed deadlines to file a claim on my behalf. Every time... without exception, nothing has been done. I relied upon his promises to map my next employment moves. Excuses abound. Lies are prevalent, BUT, you will find him on Twitter and LinkedIn nightly. I take this review seriously and it breaks my heart to even leave this review. Alf has literally caused enormous mental anguish & expense by his lacksidasical and unethical false claims of relief. What has happened to you Alfred?

Run away from this Imposter

Non communicative. A liar. Fraudulent excuses. Goes behind ones back. Not as smart as he thinks he is. His motivation is greed....not you.

Horrible Experience

Alf was hired for as employment attorney to review a separation agreement and negotiate with former Company. He was very prompt in the beginning and very personable. We felt confident in his ability to get the job done, but after payment was sent to Alf things changed. We went an entire month withou...t hearing from him and deadlines were missed. Since this was right in the middle of COVID we thought maybe he was sick with COVID? Please note, as far as we could tell, there is no one assisting him. The answering service provided no insight or help, and after getting the same lady over and over again, we got the sense that she was used to taking lots of phone calls like ours. All she could/would say is to send Alf an email. Once we finally got in touch with Alf, he said he was having back problems, apologized and we thought we were finally on track. Then, he goes silent again. No responses. Voicemail is full. We're months into this saga with no resolve and still have the pending issue with the employer. We feel obligated to make sure this doesn't happen to others who need help, so we wanted to share our experience.

Horrible

Wasted over a year of time and thousands of dollars waiting for Alf to hold up his end of our agreement. After dozens of missed deadlines and dozens of unanswered contact attempts, he still won't let me out of the agreement so other attorneys can handle my matter. Several months into the wasted... year, I referred someone who worked for me to Alf for a similar matter against a former employer. After taking the referral's money, he did THE SAME EXACT THING. Missed deadlines, unanswered contact attempts, and excuses. I've worked with several lawyers over the last 3 years and none have displayed this lack of professionalism and common courtesy.
