David P. Cunningham

I got myself into some trouble trying to keep my son out of trouble, next thing that I knew I was in need of an attorney. David Cunningham came highly recommended by a very close friend who had used him previously. I met with him and knew that I had the right guy from the get go. He was polite, not a...rrogant, seemed like a straight shooter. He reviewed my case and told me what was going to happen and I hired him. Even though I was extremely worried, every time we went to court I always left feeling better after watching the other attourneys "work" in the court room. I got myself into a really bad spot, and it looked like my road was going to end in spending some time in the State Prison. I was devastated, scared, mortified, every bad feeling rolled into one. Upon my first meeting with David I felt 100% assured that he was going to do everything he could to keep me out of jail, and out of prison. I already felt like a small weight was off of my shoulders after our first consultation. I very quickly found out that David was extremely diligent in keeping contact with me. David ALWAYS called or texted me frequently to keep me updated and to explain what was happening at each step. I never went more than a couple of days without hearing from David, even if it was just to let me know that "Everything will be okay, and I am doing everything I can." Not only would he reassure me that he was doing what he could, he'd remind me that I was doing the best I could. He would always praise me for following the straight and narrow, and it made me motivated to continue living a sober and productive life. Sometimes I still felt skeptical, because when prison is in your near future, actions speak louder than words. Boy, did David's actions speak wonders. Coming close to my final sentencing date and pre set trial date David called me with some amazing news. Through everything he and I had done together, the offer of four years in prison was off the table. I figured probation would be what I was looking at. He seemed really excited for the offer he recieved, and when he called me to tell me I about jumped to the moon and back. David was able to get me "Pre Trial Diversion." If you are unfamiliar with the program, it is THE BEST outcome I could have asked for besides outright dismissal. To give a short summary of the program, the court basically puts your case on pause. They give you a short list of conditions to follow, and if you complete these conditions within a set period of time your case is DISMISSED. That's right, no conviction. No felony. Clean slate, like it never happened. I was floored to receive this opportunity because it truly is a second chance. And as much as I love the first attorney I hired, I don't think this would have happened without David Cunningham. Even now that I'm on this program, he still keeps eyes my case and we still keep in touch. If you're scared, nervous, or anxious, David will put you at ease. I would recommend him to any friend of mine that gets into trouble in the future. Oh, and did I mention David doesn't even live in the same city as me? My court is about an hour away from his practice and he never missed a court date, never came in late. He is more than I could have ever expected or wished for from an attorney. He actually cared about me, and the outcome that paved the way for my future. He is so hard working, and will put everything he has into getting you the best result. He explores every angle of your case and finds the best route to get you on the road to freedom. I can't stress how kind David is, I was always so happy to hear from him. In the nitty gritty parts of the case I was hearing from him multiple times a day, every day. It was never an unpleasant moment. I hope to never need his services again, but if by some chance I do, I won't hesitate to pick up the phone and dial him first. Couldn't have asked for more, he is a miracle worker and the outcome of my case is perfection realized. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, David.

I met David Cunningham over 15 years ago while working as a substance abuse counselor and chaplain with inmates who had violated the terms of their probation. I was able to observe firsthand his skill not only as an attorney, but as a "life coach" for the men and women he represented.
