High praise, a heart felt recommendation, and our deep appreciation to Ms. Shank

My wife and I worked with Ms. Shank when we were had hit a tough spot in our life after almost 7 years of financial struggle since the housing bust began and had to short sell our home. After losing my job and having to move my family to Waco, Texas, Ms. Shank represented us in our Chapter 7 petitio...n in such an outstanding way. We had a few obstacles thrown at us because of previous income level, unemployment, the family move, debt size, and a new job; however, she guided us through wisely and smoothly. We also came to Texas with leases that were black holes of potential costs due to the driving distances, but her legal counsel guided us through this soupy mess. I am beyond grateful for her immediate and professional availability. Her staff is outstanding as well. They are responsive, kind, and understanding during such a stressful time. There is some to be said for a person of such experience, knowledge, wisdom, willingness to help, and tenacity to fight for the client after 32 years of practicing law. I am grateful and humbled that she has helped up navigate through this dark time truly to a fresh new start. Please, consider her first for your lawyer. Others may be a bit cheaper, but you truly get what you pay for. When you deal with legal matters and things that can break or make a person and a family, I give you my wholehearted advice to invent her representation.

Highly recommended

I found myself in an impossible situation after a bad divorce. I looked many different places for help and found plenty ready to take advantage of my situation. This was very disappointing reaching out for help and being ponced on by wolves in sheep clothing trying to make a buck off you. Be ca...reful who you trust when it comes to debt consolidation, business offering to settle your debt, as sometimes bankruptcy is truly the way you need to go. It's not easy to find yourself in this situation but Mrs. Shanks staff made it as easy as possible. They see people when they are at their lowest low and without judgement work to make the best decisions for their clients. Easy to talk to, lots of experience and tell you just what to expect the whole way along. Speaking from someone who explored every option before filing for bankruptcy I would highly recommend you speak with Mrs. Shanks team first for them to explain the way the law works to help people who find themselves unable to pay their debt. Avoid all the people who want to negotiate your debt for a price as they make a profit from doing this and very often you would have been much better off to have filed bankruptcy and your credit in the long haul would have taken lessor of a hit. Bankruptcy is put into place by law to help debtors. This was the most difficult time of my life but it was such a relief to be freed of the debt and given a clean slate to start over. The calls from collectors stop and after a few months the chapter 7 is filed and behind you. It does pretty well ruin your credit for quite a few years but really not much if any worst than working with debt settlement companies. Be careful who you trust. Remember bankrutcy as nasty of a word as it is, It is a law created to protect and help people who find theirselves unable to make their debt. See a good lawyer first like Mrs. Shanks as some of these private debt consolation/settlement companies will try to convince you that you don't qualify for bankrupcy or you will lose your home/car. This in my opinion is a scare Tackett to try to make a $ off you. I was told this and it certainly was not true. I was able to file chapter 7 lost nothing I owned, stayed in my home and kept my car. Call Mrs. Shanks or research the bankruptcy law before visiting the so called free places just waiting to help.
