About me

Jeffrey D. Parker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 1996.  He then received his law degree from Baylor Law School in May of 1999.  While at Baylor Law School, Mr. Parker completed extensive studies in the area of trial law, receiving special recognition upon graduation for his additional work.  His focused studies were in the areas of criminal and constitutional law. Upon graduation, Mr. Parker worked at one of the largest law firms in Central Texas, gaining extensive experience in a number of areas of the law.  It was during this time that he discovered that he had a special interest in criminal law.  In order to focus on this area of the law, Mr. Parker began working for a local attorney who had specialized in the practice of criminal law for over forty years.  Several years later, Mr. Parker was granted an opportunity to work as a prosecutor in Bell County, Texas.  This opportunity enabled Mr. Parker to gain hands-on experience and insight regarding the intricacies of the criminal justice system from the inside.

After spending a number of years as a prosecutor, Mr. Parker opened his own law office in Belton, Texas, in January 2006.  He has devoted his practice to representing those persons who have been accused of committing criminal offenses in both state and federal courts throughout Texas.  A substantial portion of his practice is also dedicated to criminal law appellate work, as well.

Mr. Parker is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Further, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar College (the College of the State Bar of Texas is an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas; members are qualified attorneys who are interested in both high ethical standards and improved training for all Texas attorneys), the Bell County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.  He is also a member of the Criminal Justice and Juvenile Law sections of the State Bar of Texas.

Jeff Parker is licensed at the state level, by the Supreme Court of Texas, and at the federal level, by the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, and by the Fifth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
