Would give 0 stars if I could. See email I sent to the law office below. I contacted the court to determine if a warrant was being issued for my arrest since the Jeff Eaves Law had done nothing on my case. This was for a simple speeding ticket, but Oscar Taylor @ Jeff Eaves, was telling me that they ...were dealing with a murder case in Wichita Falls, and taking care of a simple speeding ticket wasn’t on their priority list. It is a “courtesy to the community”, and since I wasn’t part of the “community” (from TX, but I received ticket as I was traveling through), and he seemed angry that I contacted the court to see if I had a warrant after not getting a response from Jeff Eaves Law on the status of my case, he then told me he’d give me a refund. I told them I’d still like to be represented, and I wouldn’t contact them again until I was coming back to the state. NO REFUND/NOTHING DONE ON MY CASE/RECEIVED LETTER FROM COURT STATING PAY MY SPEEDING FINE OR WARRANT BEING ISSUED IN 10 days. I reached out to the law office via email, and asked not to correspond with Oscar anymore because of how he’s handled my case thus far. Oscar emailed me in response, said he’s sending a refund, and left me to handle my case. The letter he wrote this time was in a nice tone. I have 2 days now to work with the court to “fix” my case so that I don’t receive a warrant. The $300 I paid has yet to be deposited in my account, but Oscar did send a “receipt of refund”. This could be because of bank processing times, but regardless, I could have used this to pay my ticket if it were in my account. PAID & HIRED on July 1. I sent the following email on SEP 5! I will be forwarding email correspondence I’ve had with Oscar. I called your office to follow up on July 15th for the speeding ticket I received on June 29th because I was afraid of a warrant being issued for my arrest for not responding in time. Your office was paid on July 1st to handle my speeding ticket, which is the same day that I initially corresponded with Oscar. On July 15th, Oscar informed me that he was in the middle of a murder trial, and a case like mine, to put in simple terms, isn’t important & since he’s an attorney, and the court “deadlines” are not important once an attorney is hired, and I shouldn’t have been concerned about a warrant. I told Oscar I would give him space/time to work on the murder trial, and I would follow up with him again in several weeks if I had not heard from him. I called again on Tuesday, September 2nd after he did not respond to my email from the previous week, because I haven’t received an update and am concerned about a warrant, and the receptionist took a message and said she’d give it to Oscar once he was out of his meeting. I have not received a call back from your office. Today, I received the attached letter from Archer County stating that if I do not pay my fine by September 12th, then a warrant would be issued for my arrest, and the State may impose additional fees and not allow me to renew my driver’s license. Please let me know what steps have been taken to resolve my case. I’ve also attached verification of payment and a record of call logs to your office. As previously stated, I will be forwarding all email correspondence and hope to receive a reply by someone other than Oscar since I have not had the best experience with him.

The law firm you need to hire with no question. They take you in from the start and fight till the end. Eaves law firm came highly recommended back in 2018 but I didn’t listen I hired another lawyer which turned out to be a terrible decision. In 2022 I had a motion to revoke my felony probation and ...once again my Houston lawyer said get the Eaves law firm on hire so I did. I was nervous for a number of reasons. Still I always felt like I was in good hands anytime I had a concern if it was Oscar or Jeff they had an answer for me. I had court for the motion 2 weeks ago and the outcome was amazing the motions were dismissed and dropped. Was also able to work out a deal on my remaining community service hrs. If you want a great law firm I highly suggest and encourage you to retain Mr. Eaves.

My case started several years ago and not knowing the process or the horror stories of the legal system I was very scared, I first went to Jeff Eaves after a couple of visits with other attorneys. My case was a burglary. I had no money due to a long-drawn-out divorce that was allowing my former spo...use to control all the books and money. I was desperate for some food and was too proud to ask. It was a stupid mistake and as the saying goes, “desperate people do desperate things”. I did and I was sorry for my mistake and admitted what had occurred. Jeff and Oscar were great in getting it resolved. I had another court case in small claims court, and I handled it myself where there was another accusation thrown at me. I was mad and upset and wrongfully blamed others. It was not the way as painted by my accuser. I was arrested and scared. Contacted an attorney who several of the inmates recommended while spending the night in jail. I paid the fee and listened to Mr. Payne’s sweet talk. Then 2 days prior to my probation ending a violation of probation was filed. I had a perfect record and never missed check in dates with both the bond and probation individuals. The Mr. Payne never presented me with offers from the Assistant DA while all the while telling me we can beat this. So, I waited until I had a hearing to violate my probation. I had pictures, a witness who passed and emails showing it was a vendetta because the accuser was a friend of my ex-wife and her boyfriend. Mr. Payne did not present a defense and I did not know that your standards of proof are not the same as they are when you are not on probation. I lost and my probation was violated. The Assistant DA was pushing for jail time of 2 years. I was very angry when I got a call from Mr. Payne and he said take it! You will not get a better offer. I hung up the phone. I was so angry and devastated that I reached back out to Jeff Eaves and what a God Send! He and Oscar got in and did some highly remarkable damage control. They salvaged a case and a person who felt like there was nothing to live for. I have 2 types of cancer and other medical issues as well as a great career and just thought I would be defined by this for the rest of my live by a conviction. They saved the day and never gave up on me nor my case. They have stood by my side and are still there as we resolve some minor issues. I have not let this ruin my life nor define me. Like Jeff says on his website “the prosecutor and law officials ARE NOT on your side.” I will make myself available to tell anyone of the need to hire no other than Jeff Eaves for any legal issue. He dug in and fought for me. He knows the law! He has been on both sides of the fence and knows exactly what needs to be done. Don’t just take my word for it but look at the other testimonials posted, and it paints a picture of a fighter and knowledgeable attorney! Thanks Jeff and Oscar!! Both my wife and are awed by Jeff’s work ethic and care and concern for his clients! Remember that the best defense is a great offense so build that defense by using Jeff Eaves. My son first offense w four serious charges and it was a very emotional situation for my family. I appreciate all Mr. Eaves did for my son and my family. We are very pleased with the outcome because of the severity of this situation. We got the best outcome possible. Jeff is very quick on his respon...se in court to defend his client even in short notice . He takes his job serious and with pride. This is the second time I’ve hired him for different juvenile cases. Both times we’ve got the best outcome possible and more than we expected. We greatly appreciate it. All his staff are amazing as well.
