After an eight-year career as a statistical analyst at a health benefit management company, Ms. Copeland earned a degree in business administration from the University of North Texas. She then earned a law degree from Texas Wesleyan, graduating in the top 17 percent of her class.
After law school, Ms. Copeland worked for two years at Safe Haven, a domestic violence shelter and counseling center serving Tarrant County, before founding our firm in 2007. She is a member of the board of directors for Wise Hope, a domestic violence shelter and counseling center serving Wise County and Jack County.
Ms. Copeland is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Ms. Copeland is a member of the College of The State Bar of Texas. Historically only 8% of licensed attorneys are members of this organization. Members are among the best trained attorneys in Texas, having to attend at least double the Continuing Legal Education required by the State Bar of Texas.

Glimmering light through unfortunate circumstances
