Jeff Brown is an AMAZING Attorney, a WONDERFUL person, the ONLY TRUSTWORTHY Attorney I have EVER had dealings with!!! Jeff is a dolphin among sharks. He is extremely intelligent and he is out to save you, not eat you up and spit you out like every other lawyer I have ever met or had dealing...s with. I have to admit that I was really afraid I was going to end up with a bogus police record because I had always had bad luck with attorneys in the past. I asked a couple of friends to go with me to meet him to help me vet him. When we met him at a restaurant to discuss my case and I told him everything about how I was wrongfully accused and arrested by the police and even the person they accused me of doing it to told them over and over again that it wasn't true, he told me he would take my case. From there my friends and I started asking him questions about cost and what would happen once his billable hours went over the amount he quoted me. He is in Roanoke and my case was in Denton. That's a long drive and can eat up time pretty quickly if you are paying someone by the hour. He assured me and my friends that the amount he quoted me was all inclusive due to the absurdity of my case and the proof I could provide to prove my innocence. I have to say that his fee for taking my case was beyond reasonable, it was downright minimal!! He even offered me a payment plan if I needed it. We felt good about him I hired him. I will tell you this right now. The more a lawyer costs does not make him better than the ones who charge lower fees. I have paid a heck of a lot more and gotten a whole lot less from other attorneys who were supposed to be the best. I learned the hard way that those are the sharks to steer clear of. So Jeff took my case and we went to court over and over again for plea hearing after plea hearing. Jeff even took care of it himself sometimes so my husband and I didn't have to take off work to be there. The prosecuting attorney was absolutely determined to make me pay one way or another. She would not let it go! This went on for almost a year. When we were at the point where we were going to take it to jury trial the prosecutor finally decided to dismiss the charges. She knew there was no way she could win! She just drug it out hoping to get some money for her office and a "win" on her record! Don't let Jeff's amiable and positive personality fool you. He knows the law and he knows what's right and he will not give up until justice has been served. He will have your back no matter what and he is like a pit bull in the ring when it comes to handling your case. He doesn't bow down to the sharks. So I was accused of domestic violence by strangulation which is a felony charge. After I was released from jail I met with my attorney Jeff Brown and we went over the facts of the case. 12 Days Later the state's attorney had finally built their case in the system and assigned a prosecutor. Jeff Brown... within two days had gotten my case totally dismissed. I got to witness Jeff in action when I had to go in front of the judge and ask him to grant me permission to leave the state for my job.
