Elizabeth Rivera

I hired Elizabeth Rivera and for a noncontested divorce. She and her staff never called to inform me what the next steps were, I had to keep calling them for status and each time I was glad I called because they had new status on my case; she nor her office would inform me of anything and they are ...not professional. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER REFER THIS LAW OFFICE AGAIN. Believe me you will not be satisfied with their services!

Her staff/sister is a joke. Could NEVER be informed of ANYTHING i paid 1500 in FULL to take the mother of my kid to court for not complying with my already established visitation rights. AFTER 3 months i still wasnt informed of ANYTHING. I called once a week to see if she had been served with papers ...to go to court and to see when a court date would be set. After days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months still she couldnt get her "processor" to get her served.it seemed she brushed off my concerns didnt take my case-her work too seriously. After almost 4 1/2 months of nothing happening i decided to fire her and ask for my money back. Her staff/sister hung up on me before i was done speaking.. then i called Ms. Rivera personal cell non stop untill she answered and told her i was very unhappy with her seevice and lack of communication. I said her services were "shitty" and want a full refund of my money 1500. I recieved only 850 back she charged me several hundred for services that werent done "paperwork and such" then several more hundred for saying her services were "shitty". Dont believe me then hire her for yourself. Goodluck You'll need it!

She helped me with my immgration case. I had seen 3 other attorney's before Ms. Rivera and they all told me my husbad was going to have to be deported. Not only did Ms. Rivera allow me to make payments on my balance, which was nothing compared to the other attorney's fees, but also solved my problems... and My Husband got to stay here.

I don't think it's fair when you are constantly waiting on Lawyers to call you back. She seemed very nice and informative, but would never return our phone calls and had to constantly call her office and leave messages. Pick a lawyer that you trust and is willing to work with you and will keep you ...updated on what is going on. I think she is too busy or maybe just does not care and just needs to stop taking new clients if she can not handle the ones she has now.
