Biography
I bring the invaluable insight and perspective of a defense attorney to my role as a Plaintiff’s trial lawyer. I am a former Shareholder at Harris, Finley & Bogle, P.C., one of the finest commercial law firms in the DFW area. While at Harris, Finley & Bogle, I learned under some of the best and most accomplished trial lawyers in Texas. After spending eight years defending businesses and individuals in a wide variety of disputes, I joined Patterson Law Group to apply my craft in a different way—to fight for people who have been injured. My ability to think like a defense attorney allows meto better serve my clients.
I was raised on a ranch in tiny Tehuacana, Texas. My father is a horse trainer and my mother is a dental assistant. I learned the need for, and meaning of, hard work at an early age, and pride myself on the work ethic instilled in me by my parents. Today, I use that work ethic to tirelessly fight for my clients. I continually strive to achieve justice for the injured — a truly worthy cause.
I serve as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University School of Law, where I advocate for and built the school's first personal injury law course — co-taught with my law partner Travis Patterson. Together we designed a curriculum that goes beyond doctrine, covering case selection, trial strategy, client service, firm operations, and the practical realities today's plaintiffs' lawyers walk into on day one. Mentoring the next generation of Texas trial lawyers is one of the roles I consider most meaningful.
I am actively involved in the local and state bar associations and many charitable endeavors--including serving as Board President for Big Brothers Bigs Sisters of Tarrant County. And, above all else, I am a husband and father--which I consider to be my most important jobs.
