I feel 100% taken advantage of… Sad

This was not a positive experience for me, and I would not work with this attorney again. I spent several thousand dollars on legal services and ultimately walked away without any usable work product or resolution in hand. At that point, additional payment was requested before anything further wou...ld be provided. I did not agree with that assessment of what was owed, and we had a disagreement regarding billing and scope of services. Because of that, I chose to end the engagement. I fully expect a detailed response to this review using his sharp, legal language to defend his position, which he is entitled to do. However, at the end of the day, this client relationship ended with me leaving unsatisfied and feeling that the money I spent did not result in fair value. I feel as if I was completely taken advantage of. Very sad. I’m sharing this because I would not want anyone else to walk away feeling the same way. This review reflects my personal experience and opinion so others can make their own informed decision.

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2001

updated on 11/10/2016

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.

Joseph’s comment:

“In 1999, I elected to leave private law practice to accept a position as Trust Counsel for a non-profit investment firm managing $2 billion in assets. Of nearly 400 clients represented by my firm, three ignored my notice to secure a new attorney to represent them and filed complaints that were directly traceable to their own inaction. The SBOT refused to dismiss the complaints, however, and I eventually decided it was best to accept a period of probation. I harmed none of complainants involved.”
