Bill Berenson was born and raised in Nashville. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and from the Southern Methodist University Law School in Dallas. He was hired by a large law firm in Fort Worth where he gained valuable trial experience. He also represented businesses and incorporated the Cinemark Theatres chain.
He wanted to focus on personal injury cases and started his own law firm almost 40 years ago. He has successfully represented thousands of people and recovered millions of dollars for his clients since then.
He was certified in 1994 by the Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has devoted his law practice to only car and truck wreck cases since that time.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association since 2006 as well as several non-profit organizations including North Texas Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Bill is a sustaining member of the American Association for Justice, an advocate in the National College of Advocacy, and a speaker at legal seminars. He has served on the Board of Editors of The Litigation Reporter, the Texas Supreme Court Jury Reform Task Force, and other organizations. He has several hundred five-star reviews on Avvo, Google, and other review sites.
He has successfully tried dozens of cases to a verdict and gained membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Texas Bar best known cases include the "affluenza teen" case, multiple 18-wheeler collision and commercial vehicle cases, and the 2000 presidential election.
Bill has taught Sunday School and is an Eagle Scout and lives by those values.
He has run 57 marathons (including one in all 50 states, with 40 qualifying him to run in the Boston Marathon) and enjoys cycling and travelling.
