Highly Recommend Hiring!

Monroe handled my case diligently and proficiently. Monroe went out of his way to ensure I had a desired result from my legal troubles. To say he is hardworking is an understatement.

Excellent hardworking attorney

My case began in Feb 2015. I was investigated for Food Stamp fraud over $3000 which in the state of Texas is a state jail felony. We hired Monroe Solomon and Greg Westfall as attorneys on the case. My case was very clear cut, with not a lot of investigation needed, however we had an issue with financ...ial licenses that needed to be preserved or would be needed by me in the future. Obviously I could not have this on my record. The prosecutor originally offered me 2 years deferred and a life time ban on benefits with full restitution and a $500 fine. We did not accept this due to the licenses, and Monroe reworked a deal with the Prosecutor. Monroe was able to get the Prosecutor to agree to a class c misdemeanor, with 6 months of probation, full restitution, a $500 fine, 40 hours of community service a TIPS class and 12 month ban of all state benefits, (food stamps, Medicaid, housing, ect.) At this time, my husband and I were trying to discharge a Chpt 13 bankruptcy and could not sign the paperwork until I pled the case down to a class C. The issue that came up, was that the Bankruptcy attorney needed the paperwork in a 2 week time frame. Due to the quick nature of everything going on, I was able to complete my CS in 1 week and Monroe was able to get my case on a special docket by the following Friday so that I could pled everything down. He worked very hard for me and we were able to get everything that I needed in order to be able to continue in my line of work. We will be filing for an expungment of my record in 6 months and all of this will be behind me. However, none of this would have been possible without Monroe and his extraordinary work on my case.

1st degree felony

I thought I was headed back to prison, than I got a miracle..Mr.Solomon"..might I mind you that I'm very fimilar with the court system.Ive been in and out of prison since 1993..I was released off parole in January 2015 and caught another first degree felony one month later,March 8.2015..I never knew M...r.Solomon,I was so use to hearing about the other big sharks, the Factors,,Scotts,Shaws,ect"..but there he was clean cut, dark suit silent killer..I contacted him and discuss my case. There after I met wit him on a bi weekly schedule..Every up date of my cause was filled wit new recovery, such as hired private I's...wittiness statements for my defense,,police reports.I felt like I was in a Law n order transition..this guy was on the phone constantly with the DA..fighting for my freedom I was offered 10 to 20 years plea bargains..I thought my life was over..my court appearances were on a constant reschedule...I was exhausted".I had lost all hope for myself. .Mr.Solomon didn't even have a face of worry..At first this scared me..I asked him what is going on...He looked me in the eyes extended his hand for an hand shake and said you not going back to prison your first degree felony has been dropped to a class B" misermeanor..I never had a lawyer stay in the ring and go all the way to the end like that..I recommend this guy to any one who's in trouble..From the very beginning I had told him how some lawyers I had in the past would sell me out just to get an convection. He said I'm sorry to hear that"and I promise you that's not wat your dealing wit here..And that was the absolute truth..

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
