I was referred to this attorney through another non-legal professional referral as very good. After an initial background email followed by a phone consult with Larry, I was very optimistic that Larry was very competent and able to handle my IRS case. What impressed me the most was his character, as ...though I was talking to a friend I'd known for years on the phone and at the same time almost being able to see him smiling and enjoying what he does. He was kind enough to follow up a couple return phone calls to me and answer some extra questions that almost always seem to pop up as soon as you hang up the phone. And while he wasn't able to lay out a strategy on how he would handle the case, I discussed pieces of the cases, so I knew he would be able to do just that if he was my choice. But the story doesn't stop there. I wanted to be sure that something wasn't getting missed by getting a 2nd opinion, so I went and got that other consult to be sure. And after, the 2nd consult, I had two very seemingly competent attorneys in IRS matters. There was no right/wrong, even better/worse, but just good/good. Having to make a choice, I decided to call back Larry and choose him since he was the first I spoke with, realizing neither would probably be a bad choice. But wow, when I called back to tell him that, Larry could not take my case because of a huge case that went from dormant to limelight and would require more resources than he could commit to me and he humbly had to decline. However, when I mentioned the other attorney I had consulted with for a 2nd opinion, he said reassured that I'd be well cared for with that attorney and he could confidently recommend me choosing the other attorney. So, what am I trying to say about Larry, only having had a consultation? That it's my impression he has first class character and cares deeply for his clients and is highly competent in matters involving IRS cases.
