In trying to find a divorce attorney, I interviewed a few and did not feel they were being honest. The retainer was so expensive and I was about to become a single mom. A family member recommended Taylor to me so I contacted her. First conversation I had with her over the phone she explained the ...entire process and laid out all the different options I had. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I became emotional it felt she was genuinely sympathetic. At the end of the phone conversation I asked about fees. She laid out each cost of the court fees and paying a server. She offered options of getting my husband to sign without even needing a server and other ways that would make things less expensive. She never once asked me what my income was or my husband's income was, which is something the other lawyer's did and felt they were charging me a higher price because of it. She said that the retainer was to cover these fees and anything that was not used I would get back. The retainer was very reasonable and lower than the other quotes I got. I received a biweekly update on how much was charged and remaining left of my retainer. Taylor was always available to me during the process. I could text/ email her anytime with questions and she responded promptly. Even though her office was in Fort Worth, my home was North of Dallas and she met with me closer to my home instead of me having to take off work to drive to her office. After 6 months of going back and forth, I decided not to proceed with the divorce and was given back the remaining amount of the retainer as promised. I did meet with Taylor and she was professional but had a relaxed demeanor that made you feel comfortable, especially during this difficult time/ situation. I am truly grateful to her and would recommend her to anyone.
