Carlo D'Angelo is a criminal defense lawyer, former law professor with over 25 years of experience defending individuals charged with state and federal crimes. After law school, Carlo accepted a position with the Broward County Public Defender's Office, where he gained a wealth of jury trial experience handling a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor cases. In 2000, Carlo left the public defender's office and went into private practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
While in private practice, Carlo also took on a full-time faculty position as an Assistant Professor at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. In 2008, Carlo left South Florida and relocated to East Texas, where he opened Carlo D'Angelo, PC.
In addition to his Texas-based criminal defense practice, Carlo is also available to represent individuals nationwide who may be the target of federal crimes including cryptocurrecy criminal prosecutions. In 2022, Carlo was a featured speaker at , where he spoke on the subject of "The Growing Threat that Crypto Criminal Enterprises Pose to NFTs."
