I have been trying to get my divorce done for over 8 months now. We have already been to court, and the agreement was that we would be coming into the office to sign our divorce and just be done with it. We were supposed to come in and sign the docs today after an extremely long wait period with no u...pdates. But we were never given a specific time to come sign them. Every time my soon to be ex husband has called the office, or I have, there is always no one available to take our calls or they say they will email us later (and of course we never get the email). My ex husband has paid a lot of money to have this divorce done, we are in agreement on everything, and it’s been over two years since we’ve been separated. Trying to get this divorce (and having been to court almost a year ago now). We just want the divorce that was paid for and there’s no reason why this shouldn’t have been done by now. There have been weeks we have called multiple times within the week span just to get updates we were promised. Terrible law office. The lack of professionalism is astounding. My ex husband should be entitled to his money back so we can give it to a lawyer who will finalize this divorce. Not stay on vacation every time we call out of the 30 plus times within the last 5 months.

I was referred to Scott from a colleague. I initially completed a consultation to see what my options were in preparation of a possible custody battle. I was very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. I wanted to pursue full custody but did not think I had a chance at all with Texas being p...ro-woman in most situations and experience from a previous custody battle in another county. Scott was very confident in pursuing full custody and ensuring that my rights as a father would be enforced. I walked out of my consultation feeling great but decided to go against his recommendation to file for custody before my children’s mother decided to do so. A couple months later, I was served with custody paperwork from the AG. I again consulted with Scott thinking that I did not have a chance at full custody and that I just wanted my rights enforced as a father. Scott again reassured me that I should push for full custody and that he would do his very best to ensure that if I didn’t get full custody that he would push for me having more rights to my children than just a standard possession order. I never doubted his judgement and agreed. Scott took care of the counter petition, ensured that my rights as a father were enforced so that I was able to see my children in the due process before court, and helped guide me through the entire process. We started with trying to hire an amicus attorney to avoid a trial but couldn’t reach a mutual agreement. Instead, we were forced to hire a home study. Scott provided me with homework to help him with my case that was paramount in the final decision. I provided Scott and Kendall with tons of detailed documentation that were later used in court to assist. This same documentation was provided to the home study along with the home study’s requested documentation. The home study ruled in my favor! Once in court, Scott ensured that the right evidence was shown during the trial. The judge ruled in my favor and granted me full custody of my children! I do not think this would have been the case if I would have hired a different attorney. Scott and Kendall are an amazing team and they are highly recommended!
